Big Brother 13

For the first four weeks of the competition whichever half of the couple nominated for eviction is not evicted will receive a Golden Key, which means he or she CAN NOT BE EVICTED until there are ten houseguests left. Holders of Golden Keys cannot compete in the HOV competitions but do still vote in the eviction ceremony.

Dick was her partner so no matter why he had to leave it automatically gives her a key since she's a surviving duo partner within the first four weeks.

I do mind that they gave her a key since she didn't earn it in any way. Dick probably left knowing she would not be in danger and get a key. Since the game had just started they could have rounded up Nick or someone else to be her partner. As is she got an unfair advantage, can talk any smack she wants and doesn't have to worry for 3 more weeks, while Porsche and Keith have to sit on the block to earn whichever one gets the key.

It pains me to say this but Daniele is by far playing the best game right now. She's safe with the Vets and reports everything to them but she has wormed her way in with Dominic and Lowan (who love her). The Dom/Lowan/Cassi alliance wants to work with her when they get to week 5 so she's safely between both camps. And she has a terrific read on everyone. She's up in the HOH room and she's correctly figured out that the stupid newbies have ruined their advantage because only Dominic and Cassi are likely to be trying to win the next HOH (it's likely that Lowan/Kalia/Shelly/Adam will throw it).

That's because Daniele's allowed to play that way and no one else is. She doesn't have to worry and be paranoid about anything like everyone else. All she has to do is sit back and make friends with everyone. She doesn't even get to compete and show the house that she's a competition threat.

I'm not arguing that the coup wasn't the single biggest reason why Jordan won, but merely that her win was less tainted than Dick's. In Jordan's season, the entire house was informed that somebody would be winning a power in advance, while everyone in BB8 was blind to America's Player except for Eric himself, and the coup was also isolated to that one week, rather than a season-long thing that guaranteed a vote (and a person campaigning) to save Dick.

Yes I agree it wasn't as bad as Dick's rigging but it was still horribly bad.

Without AP, Dick would be been evicted, point blank, the week Dustin was. At the very least, Jordan probably would have outlasted Jeff and Michele like she did in the actual game, and she would have gone further if one of the other two had gotten HOH.

Chima's tantrum doesn't win her any points with me. The two sides were still even at four/four before she threw her fit, and she was allowed to play in the next HOH that Michele won. Her ejection didn't have to happen; she could have stayed calm and kept her head in the game like Kevin and Natalie did (and lord knows I don't want to give Natalie any credit ever, but she deserves it here - they were both as screwed by the coup as Chima was but didn't give up, and got Jeff to take out Russel), but she chose to throw her mic in the pool, and that made her side of the house even more vulnerable.

I don't agree because of who was on the block when the coup was used and how J & J were playing to that point - which was hardly any play at all. Jessie would not have been evicted and would have played on, and would probably have gotten J&J out at some point. Just because they knew there was going to be someone who got a power does not mean that they had any way of defending against it.

AP was ready to evict ED until something/someone whispered in his ear that it was better to save ED than evict him.

To me it comes down to the same thing. I did not like Natalie but she certainly played the BB game whereas Jordan did not and neither did Jeff until they were given the big coup. I am aware that people vote who they like rather than who played the best but who would have played the best if ED had not been saved and the coup had not been used?

I agree, joesman.

I think Dani has blossomed since her season. She's in a really good mood and talkative but who wouldn't be if they knew they were untouchable for the first four weeks?

She's basically on vacation for now.

You're right. The Golden Key does give her a lot of opportunity to play without consequences. However, she still gets credit for using that opportunity wisely. If Keith or Porsche had gotten the Golden Key for example, something tells me they wouldn't be playing the House any better than they are now.

I've always said, Daniele is a decent strategist, and clearly the brains in her alliance with her awful overrated father. Unlike Dick, she did have the combination of game savvy and competition prowess to make it to the finals without all the production gerrymandering on Season 8, whereas there's almost no chance Dick would have made it that far without it (for example he would have been evicted the week Dustin went home were it not for AP).

Daniele's main problem is that she's fundamentally not a likable person (even now when she's matured a little), not by a majority of people, and not enough to get people to vote you money. I think she has the skills to get herself to the finals, but she doesn't have the personality to win the votes.

This might make me a horrible person, but Dick's vagueness makes me even more suspicious.

I can't help feeling more and more that this was all engineered from the get-go to net Daniele that Golden Key. The Donatos are not above doing something like that, and I could see Daniele being like, "Look you owe me, you already won." And they're both so obsessed with this show, I could see them doing something like that.

Yup...that's pretty vague and scripted. Doesn't sound like Dick's words. I'm sure CBS/BB's statement will be close to the same.

I don't buy it ...and I'm not one to easily fall for conspiracies either.

I'll say this boo, I don't want ANY of the vets to make it far this season. And I'm dreading when they do an inevitable America's Vote power thing that gives the vets an advantage over my favorite alliance (Dom/Cassi/Lowan).

I'm listening to the vets in the HOH room trashing Cassi (because stupid Shelly sold her out) and it's making me sick. Jeff/Jordan and Brenchel are making it personal, talking trash about Cassi and Dominic, their home lives and personalities, whereas Cassi/Dom/Lowan made a point of saying that they like the veterans as people but can't let them get far in the game because they're too strong competitively. Which is TRUE.

God the vets are so fucking self-righteous. They're all, "Why wouldn't Cassi and Dom not want to play with us? Why do they keep saying we're in an alliance?" Um CUZ YOU FUCKING ARE! Ugh.

The vets have become the Nerd Herd already to me this season.

i disagree i hate dominic and cassi is an idiott

Dick went on the show and left to promote his website. That's what a lot of people think and I wouldn't be suprised if it were true.

I believe Dick. Never particularly liked him, but there are some things more important than a reality TV show

Dom is now sharing a hammock with Rachel, making it the closest he's ever come to contracting an STD.

Ugh. Brendan is coming down on Rachel (repeatedly) in the HOH room for "getting drunk and not acting like someone who's about to get married."

First of all, WTF?

Second, um that is not your lesson to teach sweetie. Was cheating on Rachel and sending your peen pics to other women "acting like somebody who's about to get married?"

Third, Rachel didn't do anything obnoxious or overbearing with her drinking (yet) this season. In fact, they've been much more tolerable this season and the cast in general enjoys them more than the BB12 cast did. In fat, no one makes fun of them or talks badly about them behind their backs. And Rachel hasn't done anything bad/crazy/wrong so where is this coming from?

God, Britney was right when she said Rachel is fine as long as she's not with Brendan. Rachel may be silly and clueless and annoying at times but she can also be fun and entertaining whereas Brendan is a drama queen drip. He's basically putting their relationship on the line in the middle of a TV show, which is fucked up. I wish Rachel would just dump his ass.

Brendan has always been very dramatic and sensitive.

Me? I wish they had drink machines installed by the hot tub and kegs on tap in the kitchen.

I like my reality tv real...not supervised...jk...well sort of...

I doubt that's true. Dom has done modeling work and been around models and photographers who, we all know, are the biggest sluts on earth, so he isn't exactly from Cleanland, USA. Though, granted , he does come across as a clean freak. Seen those two videos he made for sunglasses and a popular company?

I completely agree.

Ive been watching flashback this morning...didn't see anything that Rachel did that would have made him overreact like he did. She was having fun with the others...like a normal person should/would when basically on vacation (since nothing critical is happening, game-wise, in the house for the time being.) Brendon is an insecure controlling douche...feels the need to belittle her just to deflect attention away from his scandal. Rachel hasn't bugged me any where near as much as she did last season. The only time I'm bugged by them is when he starts getting on her case about nothing, and when they are being a cutsie couple...blech! I hope he goes before her, this season.

I thought everyone had a great time on BB AD all 4 nights I have watched. The drinking game and spinning and shaking bootie in Lawon's face and everyone proposing to Jeff was great fun. I don't know what happened that made brendan out of sorts, perhaps it is how fun Rachel is when she just lets herself go - as a matter of fact he is a fun guy too when he just lets go as he has this season this far.
