Big Brother 15

What's really alarming is how it affected Candace and Howard afterward. I don't know if you saw it slip but Candace was really hurt and crying because of all the racist shit that's been thrown at her and then Howard almost had a nervous breakdown, trembling and trying not to cry and praying to God for strength. At one point, Howard was visibly trying to control his own rage and GM walked in and Howard just growled GET OUT because he knew he couldn't talk to anyone right then. It was so disturbing to watch that BB called him to the DR and he ignored them a few times before finally going in and calming down.

What's really unfair about this is that Aaryn and GM are creating a hostile environment of racist attacks -- Aaryn not even realizing she's racist -- and it's a disturbing look at how having to deal with such overt racism affects people of color. In the real world, Candace and Howard wouldn't have to put up with people like that but in a game for money they have to and even worse, if they react anywhere close to the way Aaryn and GM are pushing them, they'll be seen as the "angry black people" and they're very conscious of that. It's so sad and unfair to them (and thank god for Jun Song for pointing this out on Twitter). Fights and drama are fun watch on the feeds but the moment it becomes racially charged it's just not fun anymore. I really think BB should remove Aaryn for inciting that kind of hateful language. It has completely crossed a line now.

Best part though? Fucking AMANDA came in like a bulldozer and called Aaryn the fuck out and let her know that everyone was being grilled in the DR about the racist shit she says and how that's how America sees her and Aaryn was stunned. Naturally she denied ever saying anything racist and got angry at Amanda for "making her look bad." Like a lot of racists she's both deluded into thinking she's not racist and at the same time, is open about the fact that she doesn't care how people of color feel (as she clearly stated in that clip on yesterday's episode where Amanda tried to talk to her privately). I know Amanda has said bad stuff too but she has clearly stopped now that she knows people were offended and I still love her for not giving a fuck and reading Aaryn up and down like a book.

The most LMAO smh line was when Aaryn thought Amanda was referring to her comments about the black fish at the bottom of the aquarium and the white fish at the top (she's totally forgotten all the "black Candace is dirty" and "go make Rice Helen" comments) and she goes, "I wasn't even talking about race there, that was like...science."

Bonus applause for the Jun shoutout. I was just reading her great blog site last night and she dedicated a couple of astute posts to the subject.

Get all the men out and this could get quite interesting. :corn:

Well it's not a girl vs guy alliance yet. It's basically Everyone vs the KKK (Aaryn, GM, Jeremy and Kaitlyn). However, Elissa/Helen/Candace do seem to have something so maybe a girl's alliance can takeover eventually if those three can pull Amanda away from McCrae, Jessie away from Judd and well...ditch Howard and Spencer eventually. We'll see but I like the direction it's going so far. Nick was cool but his eviction split the house into exactly the division I wanted.

See in the real world, that nasty looking witch with the long faux blond hair would be too scare to even say shit to Candace. Candace would have whooped her ass in real life.

EXACTLY!!! This bitch would be getting scraped up off the floor and hauled to the emergency room.

Helen nominations

Aaryn and Kaitlin

I've decided that I'm glad it went down the way it did. Nick was cute but I like the division his absence has caused. I'm tired of Elisa getting handed MVP though. She's not really running much of anything. Amanda is really the one pulling strings. I think she or McCrae would most likely to do something interesting with it when the time comes for moves to be made.

I don't think an "all girls" thing will happen. Helen and Elissa seem pretty close to Andy. Amanda is a smart girl and it wouldn't be wise for her to cut her closest ally, McCrae, loose to hook up with a solid group of three. Plus it's only a matter of time before they all tire of Elissa's perpetual MVP and knock her out. My guess is once Elissa's well defined targets (Jeremy, Kaitlin, Aaryn, GM) get knocked down to one (or two) Amanda/McCrae, Jessie, and Howard will make a move to prevent themselves from going up next.

I won't be surprised if Aaryn was acting (but it backfires on her when she gets to the real world)

No offense but that is absurd...you can act any way in the world, but to intentionally act like a racist for millions of people to see?

And as for the spoilers, I don't really give a shit. Does any one really care about this storylines this season, with the undercurrent of racism?

The only way BB could possibly salvage some respect is if they boot Aryan and that one chick who got in Candace's face...oh and the real estate agent from Florida. If they heaved these three, then I think could redeem themselves.

AMANDA MOTHERFUCKING ZUCKERMAN.

This season is really ugly but also so addictive with some rootable people (Helen, Candice, Howard, Elissa, Amanda and Judd) cracking up through the hatred like flowers through the concrete. Plus watching all of Aaryn's alliance get evicted will be so sweet.

I agree with all this. And I too am over the MVP twist. I like the Helen/Elissa duo, but now MVP feels like another BB8/America's Player which helped the Donatos get to the end unfairly. At least retire it early so it doesn't make the HOH meaningless for the ENTIRE game.

I actually like the MVP concept on paper. Of course it's kind of ruined since they're using it on a season where (or should I say, because) somebody started the season with a built-in fanbase.

Even without Elissa being Rachel's sister, I don't like MVP. There are already ample reasons to throw the HOH competition, they shouldn't be adding a power that makes the HOH even LESS relevant. BOTH evictions so far have been the MVP's nominee, so what's the point of even having an HOH then?

The next 4 weeks are completely pointless to watch as the racist alliance will be picked off one by one even if one of them wins HOH every week. Because of the MVP twist, there's absolutely 0% Jeremy, Aaryn, Ginamarie, & Kaitlyn could win this season anymore since even if one of them wins HOH every week, their nominations will never matter because their nominations will never go home. Someone from their team will be put up by the MVP and be sent home since they don't hold the votes and nobody will even think of joining them now since the house knows the viewers hate them and that they will be hated too if they join them. Maybe the last one can win HOH/POV and last a week or two longer but there's no way they can win HOH & POV until the finale, especially with Grodner rigging the show. Don't get me wrong, the 4 are disgusting people but they should at least have a chance to win the game otherwise there's no point of them being there. If you win HOH, there should be no way someone from your side who you'd never want gone should even be in danger and have the option of going up and going home unless they were talked into putting them up. Aaryn would've never put up Nick and targeted him. In fact, nobody would've targeted Nick until at least the middle of the game if this were a regular season without the MVP thing. The idiots running this crap didn't think things through.

I like the mvp because it adds another person, a surprise person to the nominees. True the two people mvped to the block went home but that was because the nominations the hoh put up should have been better thought out and not handled like a bunch on little boys who are out to get Elissa. It is true that Elissa would have been gone had there not been and mvp, but even when she put someone up it was someone well thought out, and then executed. Aaryn in her HoH went for Elissa because Jeremy had to start a whole bunch of shit about her being Rachel's sister and lying about it. She didn't lie about it, she just didn't openly admit it. Helen, in her calm and sensible demeanor, talked to everyone and laid the groundwork for Nick's eviction. When Dave was evicted it was because Jeremy went along (and he knew that Dave was going to go and someone should tell Aaryn that) even though he threw his vote at Elissa. The joy in those evictions was because of the KKK side of the house and the bullying by Kaitlan and by Jeremy and by Aaryn. They are the kind of people who get in power and act like Gestapo. Jeremy even went at his alliance about Kaitlan, telling them that is she goes he will jump ship.

I like Helen's nominations and I hope that she wins mvp and puts up Jeremy. They are talking Howard but I don't see him as that big of a hit. Just be sure that you get out one of the three asswipes.

How does it make HOH meaningless? MVP's nominations were successful because they (and other players) were successful in convincing other folks in the house to vote out that person. It was a shocker when both David and Nick got evicted. Even after they were put on the block no one expected them to go home.

Supposedly the MVP only will last 2 more weeks but who really knows. I think it served its real purpose of keeping Elissa on the show. Honestly Elissa is boring. Hopefully Amanda or Helen wins MVP, before it's over.
