Big Brother 15

^^ rather Elissa that loud mouth, pushy Amanda. Everybody has a breakdown at some point in this house. If Amanda is truly Grodner's set up, then I say anyone but her. Let the lava flow. Better a raucous house than the one Helen wants where everyone is lovey dovey.

The CBS broadcast certainly tainted Elissa's sweetness with her galling personal attacks on Amanda (in all honesty that one piece was so fugly and it made Amanda look like a watermelon stuffed into a one piece). I could understand Ellissa's disappointment that she was put on the block by America, and that she didn't win MVP - but it was a little spoiled girl whose face you saw.

Judd is such a funny dude.

Elissa doesn't know it was 'America' that put her on the block. She thinks one of the house guests got MVP and nominated her.
MVP is supposed to be a secret so I don't know if Julie will tell them the score tonight. I'd love to see Elissa's drag queen face if she does.

So that thing on GM's head...is it alive? Extraterrestrial? The husk left behind when her brain crawled out of her head a long time ago?

Helen had figured out that America was the MVP. She explained it to Candice and Jesse, I believe the other night and was spot on about how it would have gone.

I still like JuDoubleD and Helen. Howard is nice to look at but is bland. Spencer is just creepy, Andy a little flighty, McCrae is just an odd ball - And our Elissa is out for blood and it's devil's blood she would be after.

^ yes, Helen totally figured it out but she doesn't know if it's true for sure.

I wonder if the new HoH
Aaryn
(west coast people)
will put Elissa up. She'll win POV again. Hopefully, she'll be back doored.

Jeff looked fine tonight with Julie. Mmmm.

Re: The Men of Big Brother 15

I'm ALL about McRae...he's the hottest of the season for me...Nick was nice...but his body was better than his face...David did nothing for me and same with everyone else.

Arryn is saying she wants to put up Howard and maybe Spencer? Apparently she convinced Helen she's not putting up Elissa because Helen just assured Elissa she is 100% not going up. If that true and Arryn starts rolling with the alliance (like she said she would last week), she may last MUCH longer in this game. As much as that disgusts viewers -- and robs us of an epic eviction interview with Julie -- you've gotta figure Arryn is an attractive option for lots of people to drag to F2.

Hell Amanda and Arryn should totally have a F2 deal because neither of them can really win against anyone else in the house. It would be Jun and Allison all over again, with Amanda as the sh*t-talking smart girl everyone votes for begrudgingly and Arryn as the blond skank who loses to her.

"Next, Big Brother fan favorite, Jeff Schroeder, returns." - Julie Chen...

Fan favorite? You mean Allison Grodner's crush, not "fan favorite."

Barf

Yeah Jeff's appearance was just a reminder of how hypocritical a lot of BB viewers are. They (rightly) rake Arryn over the coals for her bigotry but give Jeff a pass for his. I actually read some fan comments defending Jeff saying his comments were different because "he was just joking." Like Arryn wouldn't say the same fucking thing??

This is the first BB I,'ve watched with any interest in at least five years. I think they got the cast just right... Focusing on some "older" and more interesting people, not just being concerned with eye candy and youth...

Plus, I'm oddly attracted to McCrae, even if he wears that damned T shirt and pajama bottom Way too much...

All in all a good season.

I was wrong to worry and wrong to doubt. Amanda is STILL running shit! Now she has Arryn in tow and Howard and Spencer are likely going up. Amanda may now be able to get rid of her biggest threat (Howard) while keeping her own hands clean when Candace goes apeshit over Howard's eviction.

Amanda really is the best player in the house at the moment.

This cast is the most inconsistent I've seen in... maybe ever? I like it but it makes trying to keep up with the social dynamics completely exhausting. I'm glad to see Amanda avoided her few days on the outs but they're bound to happen again. She's way too brazen to not offend people. Sadly the fact she's a woman only makes it harder for her brash personality to be palatable to certain personality types. Elissa seems to have proven that she's a crazy people and they're all about over her. Once they realize that she's not going to have this magic power every week they'll cut her loose sooner rather than later.

Most of the awful people have been weeded out though Aaryn is miraculously hanging on. It's not unheard of for the last member of a decimated minority alliance to reintegrate into the fold when the majority alliance fractures. I don't know if she'll do it though. This is a weird situation where there's a majority alliance Helen/Elissa/Judd/Andy/Amanda/McCrae and two separate decimated minority alliances Spencer/Howard and Aaryn/GinaMarie then there are Jessie and Candice randomly floating about. Now if the six manage to remain strong I don't think Aaryn will make it THAT long. But if the others tire of Elissa/Helen sooner rather than later it creates all SORTS of dynamics that can be created. It's one of the first seasons I really can't predict what's going to happen eight moves out.

But I have gotten the vibe that McManda got to Aaryn earlier this week, so I think Aaryn might serve McManda's will and get rid of Howard (who Amanda has been gunning for for like three weeks now). Though I wouldn't be surprised if the collective 'they' have the chance to take our Elissa wiht clean hands and try and take it.

OooooH. Amanda is making fans today with Aaryiann bashing Candice. Andy doesn't come off much better. I wonder how much (if any) of this will be shown on the CBS shows. If Aaryiann and Gm have to take racist heat then Amanda should be right there with them. She is vicious.

I don't understand how Howard is Amanda's biggest threat and why she is hell bent on getting him out. The big muscular HGs rarely live up to the billing of competition beasts. If he's throwing competitions maybe I'm wrong. Most of the competitions are luck/chance or smarts. Smarts are the biggest threat to win this game.

Aaryn should be congratulated on her free ride to the finals since everyone thinks they can beat her.

The only true floaters in the house to me are Andy, Jessie, and Judd (even though I'm rooting for him). How does Andy seem to be in every major conversation by all sides of the house and no one is even threatened by him.

Re: The Men of Big Brother 15

spencer showed his ass last night... anyone cap it?

It's one of the first seasons I really can't predict what's going to happen eight moves out.

And that's exactly what I'm loving about this season. I do think Judd is in the best position though. Oh and this just in...

ARRYN NOMINATED HOWARD & SPENCER

Wow. Arryn totally could've nominated Elissa -- and it's really really a big deal that she didn't -- alongside Howard and still be with her new alliance (Amanda/Helen/Judd etc) so the fact that she didn't means she really intends to roll with this alliance. It also means that Amanda Zuckerman is still running shit this week.

Big Brother rewards people whose ideas and behavior CBS doesn’t “condone”
Big Brother 15 »

by Andy Dehnart / July 26, 2013, 6:23 AM

Here’s what happened at the end of Big Brother 15 last night:

The house of morons decided to keep Aaryn, because she said she’d throw the HOH competition and/or be their HOH puppet all week.
Aaryn won HOH.
Julie Chen interviewed “fan favorite Jeff Schroeder.”
Yes, within a few minutes, two people whose behavior prompted CBS to issue statements insisting the network “does not condone” that behavior—Aaryn’s racist comments, Jeff Schroeder’s insistence that gay men should be kept away from kids—got power and attention.

Aaryn’s rewards did come as a result of fair game play. It’s kind of amazing that Aaryn is now in power despite the fact that she’s disliked inside and outside the house. Also amazing: How CBS and the show’s producers tolerated her behavior—not just her language, but her bigotry-enhanced bullying—and allowed her to get to this point, whereas if she was playing the same game in another country’s version of the show, she probably wouldn’t have had the opportunity to get to this point.

Those who read the change to the MVP twist as the producers’/network’s attempt to rid themselves of the scourge that is Aaryn now have no evidence—or have evidence that it hilariously backfired.

Villainized by her own awful behavior and even more by the editing, which ignored others’ behavior to scapegoat her, Aaryn is the most hatable person and thus was the most likely to receive votes. That’s exactly what happened. (Julie Chen explained that Elissa received the second-most number of votes, perhaps because people thought they were still voting to give her power, or just because people don’t like her.)

Meanwhile, Julie Chen had an incredible opportunity with Jeff Schroeder, and so did he; she could have asked him about what he said while in the house, including his angry use of gay slurs, and he could have talked about what he’s learned and regrets, if he’s learned anything or regrets anything. Instead, she asked him banal questions about the game and his oh-so-cute relationship with Jordan, which we learned is still not to the level of engagement.

Julie also mostly softballed evictee Katilin, but did at least ask her, without being specific, “Why participate in ugly behavior?” Katilin said, “I think it definitely rubbed off on me” and then dismissed it all as “just a game” and said, “this game turns some people into bad eggs, but what can you do?”

No, what the game does is cast bad eggs and give them an ongoing platform and many different jobs. It also gives them power and safety for an entire week. This is your Big Brother, America. And this is what you profit from, CBS.

Good article about BB this week. I never even considered the bolded part; I am against all producer meddling even when it comes to getting rid of Aryan. I'm of the belief that reality TV should be real, no manipulated or coerced.

If you get rid of Aaryian, then Gina Marie and Amanda should be going with her. The extent that Aaryian and Handy Mandy ripped Candice in the HoH room yesterday with openly racist remarks should be outed but CBS and BB have realized that they have a house full of vipers/racist and wouldn't have a show if they outed the bunch - Spencer included.
