He is that stupid, yes. However, this could/should be the week where Derrick makes his endgame move. If Caleb goes up as a "pawn" and the nominations stay the same, Cody and Derrick could vote out Caleb, thereby positioning Derrick/Cody/Victoria next week against Frankie, who won't be able to play for HOH. The question isn't whether Frankie is stupid enough to go after Victoria (he is), but rather whether he is stupid enough to let Derrick convince him to put up Caleb.
Actually it would be very interesting if that happens and the button gets pushed (it will), because Caleb will be blindsided and then the week will be reset, thereby finally alerting Frankie and Caleb to the obvious fact that Derrick is this season's puppet master, and giving them a second chance to do something about it. Indeed this twist may have been installed to reveal exactly that.
