Big Brother 16 (US Version)

Re: Big Brother 16

way to early for final 2 LOL

Re: Big Brother 16

Read on "Jokers updates" that Zach told Cody "I want to fuck Frankie so bad", "he's making me so hard!". I don't think he's ever, knowingly, had a gay friend so he's leaning towards "curious territory".

send a link I don't believe you

Re: Big Brother 16

It is there. However it was other people talking about it instead of Zach himself saying it.

I only just watched Thursday's episode. Christine seems hilarious and the Battle of the Block stuff is still so needlessly complicated IMO.

Re: Big Brother 16

It'd be neat to have a gay showmance. Even back when they cast two gay guys for that to happen specifically in BB9, it didn't. Frankie isn't too bad even though I complained about him before. I like him much more than Andy so far.

I don't love him yet, but unlike Andy, at least he has a personality. He has potential. I'm onboard for the gay showmance too, if only because it makes Zach tolerable, and I'm SO onboard for the Nicotine...um nerdmance? Donny is still my favorite so far which is really surprising since he's a combination of the Cowboy and Adam Pooch/Spencer mode, which are typically my LEAST favorite casting types. Devin is hot but annoying, Cody is hot but boring, Caleb is not that hot and needs to go.

Just kidding.

And yes I agree about Caleb not being that hot.

Re: Big Brother 16

I'm totally on board with this showmance (god I hate that term)...didn't really find Zach all that attractive (I think it's that ridiculous hair he has) but after watching that Sexy Back video...I love him...haha.

And I don't know what guy you are looking at, but Caleb is damn hot. I haven't watched any extra stuff so I don't know anything about him past the TV episodes (yes I read about the Instagram post...I'll reserve judgement till I see more of him in the present) but I haven't seen much of him in the house yet.

Re: Big Brother 16

I don't like to be too harsh about somebody's appearance because I'm no stunner myself but I just don't find his face to be very attractive, and that's without factoring in his pre-show comments. Devin, Zach, Cody and even Frankie all have much cuter faces to me.

Re: Big Brother 16

LOVE that gif slip. Even though her awesomeness is rightfully extolled every year at the Oscars, Streep's comedic genius is underrated I think. Her line readings in that film gave me life: "NOW a warning?!"

And I love how -- sadly and just as I predicted -- gays are already overlooking/ deflecting/ excusing Caleb's stunning racism (calling Obama a "Muslim monkey" isn't debatable people) because they think he's hot. Even on this board. Where white/straight/masculine guys are concerned, gays have become depressingly self-parodic. I'm sure the crazy cat ladies who swoon over Jeff aren't far behind.

Re: Big Brother 16

Also I hope the show plays up the gay showmance and it becomes a fan favorite. Not only because that would be cool to watch on a show with a poor track record of diversity, but also because then all of Grodner's stupid twists would benefit them (Zach and Frankie for Team America please!). I'd much rather see Frankie and Zach running the house all summer than any combination of Caleb/Derrick/Cody/Devin.

I shouldn't be at all surprised since we're a hivemind but thank god you recognized that. Death Becomes Her has been my favorite movie since I saw it on PPV with my parents at age four, and I was obsessed with Goldie Hawn and Meryl Streep for several years afterward. I watched it with my first time-watching boyfriend the other night (he loved it too) and therefore I was itching for a reason to use that GIF.

Also thank god Amber turned down Caleb's romantic interest. She would have had a shock coming for her if she didn't.

Re: Big Brother 16

You have no idea slip. My BFF and I quote that film all the time (naturally I take Streep's role and she takes Hawn's). What Madonna is to you, Streep is to me. :D

Amber is gorgeous, unlike that other BB Amber who seriously thought she was going to be a model.

Re: Big Brother 16

Yeah, I really loved Streep and Hawn as a kid and was instantly interested in any movies that had them at the time, e.g. "Bridges of Madison County," "The River Wild," "She-Devil," "First Wives Club," "Overboard," etc. Naturally since so many of Meryl Streep's movies are dramas, I would try to watch them because Meryl! But of course I WAS a little kid so I inevitably lost interest halfway through. Probably because Death Becomes Her was the first Meryl Streep movie I saw, I always recognized her comedic talent ("NOW a warning??" "Ernest... my aaaaass!" "Flaaaaacid!!!" "OWWWWWWW what're you, NUTS?!" and many more). I just adore how the three leads in that movie are so role-reversed from their 'stereotypical' fare - Streep as a bitchy blonde instead of a dramatic brunette, Hawn as a calculating redhead instead of a ditzy blonde, Willis as a nerdy drunk instead of the big action hero. <3

Yes Amber is very pretty! Rather than a Whitney Houston look-a-like as described by Hayden in the second episode, she looks much more like Vanessa Williams's little sister to me.
