Big Trip To Canada & USA :: April 2009!

Also sorry to hear about your bad-sun-day, JM - I've been there, done that. Same thing happened to a friend and me when we were about 23 years old, and we made a trip to Nassau, Bahamas. Second-degree burns are when your skin becomes blistered, and we both definitely had that.

I congratulate you on, otherwise, enjoying yourself on the trip!

I disagree about New Jersey. The place may look ugly in many places, but I've had a LOT of exceptionally good times in that state. It may or may not be the "luck of the draw" for me, but I've generally found NJ'ites to be great people to hang out with, and there's certainly a lot of good food, etc.

Fortunately your sunburn will pass...I hope you're feeling better already! No doubt you've already noticed a difference. I also assume there really wasn't much they could do to treat you.

They gave me 2 lots of IV, some liquid ibroprophen(sp?), and morphine, as well as percocet to take away with me..

I'm back in England now, and the burns, and pain have long gone; in fact, I was burnt on the Monday, and feeling 100% better by the Friday!
Just itching and peeling now, haha!

I thought you were staying longer.

I was only able to get a certain amount of time off, for this trip - So had to take what I could get.. and it was more than I expected! Had such an amazing time!!

Yeah dude!
I got second-degree burns a couple of days before we were supposed to go to The Cape, so I was in now shape or form to go cycling; instead we went shopping in downtown Boston, which was a riot, lol!!!

Luckily, the Sunday after (which was the day we went to Toronto Islands) I was able to be out in the sun, and go cycling..

We shall get to Cape Cod one day!!!

We got stuck in a traffic jam for THREE HOURS - Didn't actually move at all.. It made us super late for arriving in Washington DC, and we ended up being on the road for like 11 hours; it was gross!
I think we managed to get to DC around 11PM or Midnight! !!

Plus NJ is just ugly, lol!!!

But we did have fun in the car, regardless!! Was just annoying being stationary for so long!

I have to admit I am a little upset about not getting a chance to properly kick your pasty British ass back across the pond. I wish that Jay's boss wasn't such an asshat and we could have met up. Jay and I both would have preferred it to being stuck at his work until 2 A.M.

Yeah you betch, Round 2 would have been fun, to give you a boot to the head! The Sunday ended up being a really great day for us - We went to the Islands, and ended up renting bikes and cylcing all around them!

It was SO annoying arriving to DC late, cos we'd have REALLY enjoying going out, to wind-back a little and relax.
We probably did cross routes, haha! Wasn't in the Mustang though; had the other car (new Ford Fusion), cos it has Satnav in it, which is a blessing, haha!!
