Anyone who chooses to live his or her life in the public arena - especially poeple in political and religious positions of power and influence - should not be surprised if what they say and what they do are subject to media attention. And if they say one thing and do just the opposite, they should not be surprised if it leads to public exposure and censure. I don't care what my pharmacist or grocer does in his off time; I very much care what priests and congressmen do, especially when they are telling me that I am a sinner and a pervert, or worse. Hypocrisy, especially in government and religion, needs to be exposed. And the sooner, the better.
