Bill O'Reilly gets smackdown on The View

Bill got what he wanted - them to back off and look weak.

there are polls suggesting 70% don't want it there, but they also want muslims to enjoy religious freedom.

if I had been on that panel, I would have mentioned to mr O'Reilly that there was a time when catholics were viewed with similar suspicion. It's why catholic immigrant voted in a political block for decades. It's why there is a parallel catholic school system.

then I would agreed that islam has the worst record of treatment of gays, and got him to agree that we should push for full equal rights for women and gays in the muslim world.

1. I believe that only buildings that are used solely for prayer are properly called Mosques. Muslim prayer spaces inside of multipurpose buildings are not Mosques.

2. Since when do Constitutionally-guaranteed rights get put up for a popular opinion poll? The Constitution guarantees the rights of minorities. Period.

I think O'Reilly gave the smack-down, he didn't get one. Whoopie and Joy were on the receiving end. I have to say its not all that surprising. There MO is to gang up on people and O'Reilly wasn't the least bit intimidated. Yes O'Reilly is an extremist idiot, but so are Joy and Whoopie. The three of them illustrate what's with American politics, nobody wants to listen to the order side and try to understand their point of view (I said understand, which doesn't mean agree).

The Jews are NOT promoting brain washing children in military training

General Eisenhower Warned Us

I dislike the show anyway. Now I see CBS is gonna air their version of this format. It's called "The Talk" and replaces" As The World Turns." They had a full year to come up with a replacement and this was the best they could do?
