I think I like every single song on that list. With the exception of like 5.

I just love renegade_killerbee's effort in putting up the lists. I really enjoy studying (yes! studying) the lists.

Funny how Physical is stronger in USA than in UK. The same goes for I Love You Always And Forever??

LOL, thanks man!

"I Love You Always Forever" by Donna Lewis. That No. 2 hit trumps The Police's No. 1- for- eight- weeks "Every Breath You Take."

I expected there to be some serious bitching on here about that so I sought out the charts and discovered that yes, "Love" lasted on the Billboard Hot 100 top 10 for 16 weeks!!! That's three weeks longer than "Breath."

But nobody's bitched yet. LOL Guess it's hard to fall out of love with her precious little pop gem from '96.

Is there a list of songs by groups as well? Or did I miss it?

It's weird, I actually dislike most of them. Anyways:
70 Telstar - The Tornadoes

That was the first song by a British band to reach the top spot on the billboard chart, ever.

The rhythm guitarist has a son, he's 29 now. His name is Matt Bellamy, he's the singer from Muse.

What goes around...

17. The Way You Move - OutKast Featuring Sleepy Brown
16. (We're Gonna) Rock Around The Clock - Bill Haley &
His Comets
15. Whoomp! (There It Is) - Tag Team
14. Hey Ya! - Outkast
13. On Bended Knee - Boyz II Men
12. Independent Women Part I - Destiny's Child
11. I Swear - All-4-One
10. I'll Be Missing You - Puff Daddy & Faith Evans Featuring 112
9. Maria Maria - Santana Featuring The Product G&B
8. How You Remind Me - Nickelback
7. The Sign - Ace Of Bace
6. Too Close - Next

4. I'll Make Love To You - Boyz II Men
3. One Sweet Day - Mariah Carey & Boyz II Men

1. Smooth - Santana Featuring Rob Thomas

Next week, I'll share the top 100 songs by girl groups. Destiny's Child provide eight songs in the top 100.

Happily, but maybe sadly, I know all the Top 20 songs. Age - wisdom or really old, depends on how I choose to see it. Sigh...

LOL I feel ya. I think I "Hear" these 20 songs every single day of my life. :p

mmm Lars, I agree Human League have had better songs but have no clue the one you mentioned ... (???)

I was thinking more in the lines of "The Lebanon," "Human," "I Need Your Loving."

And yes, where are those Banana girls?!?

They went to No. 4 here in the U.S. 20 years ago with "I Heard A Rumour." And of course, 1986's No. 1 hit, "Venus" isn't represented.

Now THAT is a shame.

Enjoy the Silence only got to #8 on the Top 100 chart as their biggest hit. Sure they did much better on the Modern Rock and Club charts.

I like Depeche Mode, too, but they didn't stand a prayer making this list.

It's pretty much a summation of singles that made the top 3 of the weekly Billboard Hot 100 over the past 52 years.

Mode's biggest hit was the No. 8 hit, "Enjoy The Silence."
