Actually, the book's cut-off was this past February and since then Daughtry's "It's Not Over" and "Home" went on to achieve wild chart success.

And Carrie Underwood's "Before He Cheats," although only peaking at No. 8, has probably inched up from No. 11 and into the top three.

That formulaic country-pop crossover has been on the Hot 100 for 59 weeks. Only five songs have done that in rock history.

Before He Cheats is still lingering in the chart. I think if this list is re-compiled in the future, perhaps Before He Cheats will be in the Top 10. But I don't see it as a Top 5.

I am happy for Kelly Clarkson. Let's just hope that her success does not go to her head too much...

Carrie Underwood is awesome. She has a great voice and her music is great as well. She just so happens to have the right image and the music that backs it up. She delivered exactly what I voted for: great country music. She didn't all of a sudden change her mind and go punk rock on me like Kelly did!

People really don't read. This list is based on the Billboard Hot 100 -- not country. Before he Cheats only peaked at #8 on the Hot 100, where as Since You've Been Gone reached #2.

Yes, But Before He Cheats is Still In The Top 40 after 60 weeks, its at 40 this week, Since U been Gone Was in the top 40 for 21 weeks, Before he Cheats is The Most Succesful Country Single of All Time, Before He Cheats Sold More Singles Than Since U Been Gone, So Before He Cheats is A Bigger "HIT" Plus Before he Cheats is one Of only 5 Songs To Remain On The Chart For 60 or more weeks!
