Billie Piper or Britney Spears?

I always thought Billie Piper could have taken Britney's role if she promoted herself in the U.S. before Britney became mainstream.





I wonder why she didn't promote in the U.S. but now she's put on weight and lost her looks. At one time though she was pretty smokin hot. Thoughts?

hmm I'm not sure but I think Billie Piper never felt really comfortable being a 'popstar'. I remember seeing her on some BBC tv-show where she said she felt like somewhat of a fraud because she wasn't very convinced of her own singing and dancing skills. I think her original ambition was to become an actress and she has succeeded in that.

I agree with Mirakell, she's a good singer but seems to give more as an actress. She was really good on Doctor Who and I like her in Secret Diary of a Call Girl.

Hey, I just discovered Madonna stole the concept for one of her videos from Billie Piper.





If you watch the videos you can see that they look different at times but Madonna stole a lot of ideas (walking on water, the scenery, insects/fairies).

I Like Billie Piper. She did really good in Doctor Who. Billie looks just like Sabrina from The Cheetah Girls. She is Hot, but Britney is hotter. They both have kids. Billie has two now, and I think she has one on the way.

I'll have to say Britney. Oops... was the first song of hers I actually memorized. But I will admit that Billie has a better voice, it's just that song doesn't do anything for me.

I agree with both people who said Billie has a better voice.

Britney's voice is too nasal and she tries too hard to hit notes she can't handle. I never understood the whole "Titanic" theme with the OOPS video. It just didn't make any sense with the content of the video. Was it Britney's idea or the directors?

she was a pretty well-known 'pop star' for a while in Europe when she was a teenager but has focused on acting since then.
