i'm in a pretty new relationship for about a month and his birthday is coming up and i need help finding an awesome present. nothing big or too much money just something simple that will show him that i care and that says you're awesome happy birthday! should we just go to dinner or a movie? not sure at all what to get. never really had a boyfriend to get something for and i really like him. please help!!! thanks!

Make him a cake/ get him a cupcake...
Take him to dinner... and then out for drinks....
Out for beer and pizza...

This is stuff I would totally recommend, I guess it depends on him. Or have him over and do something cute like make dinner/watch a movie at home

You can't go wrong with a night out.

And after a month, nothing more than a cute card is needed.

Maybe a nice simple bracelet or chain around the neck? but no rings.

ok well he lives a bit a way and i'm driving up there for his birthday so that kind of rules out having him over. I am a bit strapped for cash too, but ya definately a cute card and dinner or something at least. thanks guys :)

make him a mix tape..or in the case of our generation...a mixed cd. decorate it, put songs with meaning or that u both enjoy. make him ANYTHING...hand drawn card..if he likes candy, give him candy.

its simple sweet things, show that you've taken interest in him by catering to HIS tastes

How about Christmas gift ideas? I've been with my boyfriend for a little over a year now. No rings yet and he's not into jewelry. We'll be in Chicago together next month for a few days but we'll be apart for Christmas so if anyone is from Chicago or has been there and has any ideas for things to do in addition to gift ideas, that would be awesome.
