Bisexual Forum - Undermining This One?

Thanks for raising that jb, because that's exactly what we want to do, and I forgot to mention earlier. We are looking at renaming one or both of the Bi forums to reflect what they are about - so any suggestions would be very welcome!

Ok, what about this:

The porn forum: "Hot Str8 & Bi Dudes"

The relationship forum: "Guy Talk - Support, Coming out, LTRs"

(or if LTR is ambiguous, just say "Relationships" but I figured the simpler the better.)

Considering the treatment many bisexuals have gotten on this board, I believe a seperate forum was needed. Segerated? Maybe, but at least they won't be ripped apart and insulted like they were in many of the other forums. Do I think it would be nice if gays and bis could post in this forum? Yes, but many of the members made it clear that by being bi, they aren't welcome. The us vs. them mentality was present long before the forum was created.

Are we different? Are we really? Yes i know technically we are but really?

Hell...none of us are exactly the same...but I have a hell of a lot more in common with a bi guy than I do a str8 one.

I've never looked at bi guys as different or better or worse. They're part of this place and this community and have as much right being here as anyone else.

Every person who posts in these forums are seeking advice and help. And it doesnt matter to me one bit who they are, what they look like, what they smell like, speak like...or who they sleep with. I'm gonna try and help.

Surely I'm not the only one here who thinks like this? Are we making a mountain out of a molehill, are we listening to the vocal minority?

Or am I a completely out of touch moron? (you dont have to answer that....)

That's not the point. There are some topics that provoke such strong reactions from posters that they simply cannot be discussed seriously. That's very frustrating for those that would like to discuss them and this forum hasn't provided a solution to those interested in bisexual topics.

Well, I guess you guys will just have to deal with there being a bisexual forum for now. Though, it looks like we may need a "Gays Distraught Over The Bisexual Forum" forum to address some of the emotional trauma that the creation of this bisexual forum appears to have caused some people.
