Many thanks Kulindahr. Those thoughts were inspired by recent events, partly pertaining to a beautiful young man with whom I am only marginally acquainted. That being said, something about the serendipity of those events led me to put my thoughts into words. That those words have touched you...well, I guess the Greeks were right about beauty inspiring life.
However, I'd like to hand the kudos full circle, back to those who started this thread and provided us with a place for an open and honest discussion on bisexuality.
Now in answer to your question, I think the relation to the greek god Pan may be a misnomer. While the prefix is appropriate, i.e. encompassing all branches, the intented connotations might be problematic (pan was a horny feller, and not fully human). "Multi" might be more effective, as it suggests more than two sexualities . There's also "omni", meaning "all", like pan, which suggests an "all encompassing" relationship, of which hetero- and homo- may only be facets.
Definately something to think about, although it might be a new thread in and of itself. Most likely, each one of us will need to come up with our own term that best suits us. Which may be preferable to blanket labels. Hmm. Gotta chew on that one.
