My "best" friend and his now ex. Without saying too much, let's just state that the relationship was doomed from the very start, and each time my friend broke it off, the ex would do something only a manipulative but passive-aggressive and vindictive stalker would do... and then my buddy would forgive and the cycle would repeat.

It took him being robbed for him to wake the fuck up.

Here's the deal with these two: They're toxic for each other, and really should should break things up permanently, but late at night they get horny and get together for some angry (and probably really hot) "make up" sex, and then all the BS starts again.
