bitmap in gallery

Has anyone noticed that most photo's in personal galleries are bitmaps rather than jpeg? Is it just me?
 
On occasion I have a problem with IE when it tries to save all photos as bitmaps.

If I recall correctly, the solution was to clear all temp files, cookies, etc.

However, some files are bitmaps.
 
I've had a similar problem. When I run across photos in JUBbers galleries, I right click the photo and save it to my pictures, and it has always been jpg. This last week, when I tried to save some photos, it comes up as bitmap, and there was a new folder. I deleted the folder, hoping that it would allow me to save in jpg, but no. Plus, there was only one option, bitmap. Yesterday, when the photo, of the guys mowing the lawn, was posted in the forums, it let me save that photo in jpg to my pictures. I went to a gallery, one photo of a hot cop, I've been trying to save, listed as a jpg, but it went back to bitmap and a new folder. I was wondering, if it has something to do with the galleries that has changed? All photos, I try to save, show jpg.
 
ajacobs, Thanks. I could see the photo was listed as a jpg in the gallery. There must be something wrong with a setting on my computer. I need to check it out and do some reading to see what I can do. But thanks for letting me know it worked for you. Now, I know it is my computer.
 
Looseliam is correct, that is a symptom of a common problem in IE6. The solution is to clear your temporary internet files and restart IE.
 
Hey Tex (good old boy), that's exactly what happened to me. I thought the site (JUB) changed something too. Let me know what works for you.

Mark1111, What I can't understand, is that, it only seems to happen with JUB galleries? I haven't had time to do any checking. When things like this happens, I blame it on my computer ghost. It likes to f*@k with my head.
 
Tex, yes, only with jub galleries. Not all of them, just some, but getting more frequent. I tried CCleaner, no joy.

This has me stumped.
 
Noelie, thanks. I didn't know if it was a file I had to reinstall or just delete. I did a search on my system and found about 25 files and deleted most of them. Now I'll just delete the rest with CCleaner.
 
Nope, that didn't work. I think jub did something so we can't get pics, not that I'm paranoid or anything:rolleyes:
 
For me, I don't even have to clear cache/tempfiles on IE6 (when I rarely use it), I just refresh.
