lets just say there were plenty of patients at the hospital today from really dumb car accidents
I saw an accident in Iraq...
a huge bang... lots of crying and yelling ... someone drove up the sidewalk and threw the injured people in the back seat of the car and drove away
then the ambulance and the police showed up and looked at the empty cars abandoned on the road...lol

I worked at the supermarket today,where the crowds finally were not! Even had I been off,though....I wouldn't have ventured near the mall.The worst day in the whole year to go there!My brother works at Sears at our local mall....he worked twelve hours,and at least survived!

I was out at 3 this morning and got nothing....I should have ordered on line yesterday. By the time I got home and tried to order the items, they were no longer available on the store's website!!!

This was my first year experiencing Black Friday. I always told myself I would avoid the craziness, but I was really curious to see what it was about. Sure, there were some good deals on gifts I wanted to buy for people...but it was more to experience the madness than anything. The only exposure to that day was from the movie Jingle All the Way with the masses of people waiting for a Turbo Man doll. And honestly, besides Arnie and Simbad, it wasn't much different.
And there was much madness. Oh boy, it was crazy! I went to Best Buy with my sister at 3AM, and was shocked to see discover that people had been camping out by the doors since 11PM the night before. I mean, there's some really good deals...but not they're not good enough for me to wait in line for 6 hours. ...Maybe 2 like we did, but definitely not 6
The digital camera I wanted to buy was already sold out 5 minutes after the store had been open, but I did find a good deal on a much better model...but I guess that's their scam, isn't it? Only having a small amount of something in stock, advertising the heck out of it, and then recommending a "better" one?

YES! I always go shopping on black friday. I got quite a bit of dvds really cheap from best buy, wal mart and sam goody.

Yeah, I went (for myself) and it wasn't as busy as I thought it would be. I mean there were more people than normal, but no one was rushing or going crazy over certain items. Electronics department was pretty busy though, but I got through and got my new digital television

I found some good buys on memory sticks, SD memory flash stuff and of course that digital camera I was craving, a 6.0 digital camera for $220....
I went a couple of times to Black Friday stuff; but man, the people are like strung out on something.......even fighting over parking spaces at the malls!
I like sitting in front of the monitor wearing ...uh, what I please or nothing at all, and ordering in the comfort of my home!
I certainly will NEVER go out in public on Black Friday ever again!

I was not really looking for specials, but I had to shop because one of my friends in France asked me to send him An Inconvenient Truth so that he could show it to some friends over there. He needed it sent quickly so I could not wait.
