Hello All,

As you know, before the upgrade we made options available so folks could download their blog entries and their gallery images just in case things went to total hell with the upgrade.

Well, it didn't. Overall the upgrade has gone well.

Here is where we are with these two items currently. The new vbulletin we are currently running is using its own gallery and blog system. You won't see your previous entries or your galleries displayed. We do have all your data though. Nothing was lost and we do believe we will be able to import everything from the old system into the new system. Give us a little time to get it done but I think within the next few days we should be able to bring everything from the old blog/gallery system into the new system.

Good news! Glad to hear that nothing was lost. When importing, take your time: Haste makes waste. Thanks for everyone's hard work! :=D:
 
I'm glad about that. I backed up some images just in case of a major disaster.
 
I've been enjoying futzing with my settings, my gallery and blog for the first time in eons. A new Lex for a new JUB. :)

Please note that the albums we imported are all set to private. If you want to make them viewable to the masses, please set it back to public. This was done as a safety precaution for users who had private images in the previous version.
 
No big deal here, but thought I'd ask. Do you know if there's a way to organize both the albums, and the photos within? Generally, the albums and photos show up "last one added, first one shown". Is there a way to move those around, without simply deleting them out and readding them out to get them in the order you want?

^^Ditto for me. I would love to rearrage the pics. We use to be able to do that, but that feature changed a few years ago. In the meantime I am fixing my album cover pics...;) LOL....How did THAT happen? (totally different pic/unrelated to album--though the person in my "Me" album cover was hot...;))
 
My favorite one I've stumbled across was a gallery called something like "New York Art Museum"...with a thumbnail of two bearish guys powerfucking. I thought "Wow, I need to go to the museum more often!"

Since everything is done "last in, first on", I just deleted everything, and reloaded everything with that in mind. I started by creating the album I wanted to appear LAST, then loaded what I wanted to be the last photo in, and then the next-to-last, and so on. Convoluted, but now it looks the way I want it to look. (Most people will probably wonder why I bothered. :) )

Maybe you have answered this question yet in the "bugs you notice" thread, but since it has became so long I'll ask here. I had a private album before the upgrade. I didn't save the pictures because I didn't care very much if they got deleted. Now the pictures remain but I can't find a link to my album. Is it missed for ever? Am I doing anything wrong? Are you still working on it?
 
^ I was more interested in deleting some files eventually (specially one) than in rebuilding the album. Not really very important, more curiosity than a need.
 
Is there a way to set the photos so there's no distortion? I would like the photos in my gallery to remain their original size.

Have you cleared all your cookies, browser data, cache, etc.? Have you then selected "remember me" when you log in?

I have done//do all that. When I sign in, all I have to do is type in L.

weird though today some stuff seems to work better, copy paste still

won't.

No sweat, less than 700 posts to go.
