Michael Bloomberg has filed to enter the Alabama Presidential Primary as per yesterday's NYT article. This is the best news I have heard coming out of the 2020 run up. He has many qualities that would make him a great presidential contender for the GOP:

1. He's not a crazy ass motherfucker
2. He really is a self-made billionaire
3. He keeps his dick in his pants and his hands to himself...no accusations of sexual misconduct and doesn't think of grabbing pussy as a kind of complement
4. He is not a cruel egomaniac
5. He would be a God-send for the traditional (pre-Dumpy) GOP
6. He would be a reasonable candidate to satisfy the Right and Left
7. He wouldn't promote a civil war if he's not elected
8. He really does care about people....All Americans and could bring prosperity without sacrificing public education, public housing, safety nets or selling the Grand Canyon for landfill.
9. He could restore credulity, dignity and respect to POTUS.
10 He''s not a compulsive liar
11.He doesn't think Nazis are good people
12.He could bring the country together rather than pulling it apart to curry votes
13.He likely has a healthy ego and boundaries leading to self confidence and acts like a man instead of a 10 year old
14.He would bring qualified people to his administration who actually have knowledge and experience rather than be donors or sycophants who will reflect for him
15.It would be about the Nation and making it work for all of us and not a stage for self promotion through pathological acting out
16.Public and foreign policy would not be announced in tweets that no one in the administration had any idea of....
17.He wouldn't bring his children into a fictitious role in government
18.He would be transparent about his finances.....if we have the time, they would be available....
19.Political debates would not involve the size of his cock....that would give him an unfair advantage over mushroom head.
20.He's not a crazy ass motherfucker.

Any thoughts on a Bloomberg campaign and presidency?

I think every single Dem candidate is better than Trump - but I don't think any are electable - I think Pete could be electable in years to come on a ticket as a Vice President - I think Bloomberg is electable - I think this is great news....

let me add - I think Bloomberg is electable over Trump - winning the nomination is another matter - it will be hard to win over the black vote because of "stop and frisk" and it will be hard to get everyone to nibble on the thought of a Jew in the White House - I think he can overcome both if he can win the nomination within his own party....

I'm not so sure he'd win over Trump. I suspect the rabid far left would Hillary him the moment the Russians told them to.

Plus I suspect he has a problem with some minorities.

We don't need any more geriatric billionaires running for president.

Is Blloomberg qualified? Absolutely.... but do we need more billionaires(and this one is a real billionaire times plenty) self-financing vanity campaigns? I don't think so... we have a good field as is, and if one out of the original 20 isn't good enough for the Democratic sky-is-falling, pull a rich moderate savior from the skies establishment, the fuck with them. And people bringing up Eric Holder.. well we have a very good candidate in my home state of New Jersey's Cory Booker. We need new blood if anything... Bloomberg does a lot of good things where he is right now on such important policies as gun control and climate change but we don't need him waltzing in on Super Tuesday to further fuck up our nomination process, while everyone else worked and built their organizations with discipline and effort over the past year while Bloomberg just thinks he can come in because he can fund himself and steal everyone's thunder. He has no real constituency, doesn't score well in the black community.. not that he's racist, but his policies as Mayor of New York doubling down on Rudolph Giuliani's quality of life overzealous crackdowns won him few friends in that community because the brunt of enforcement affected young black men in particular. It was too my way or the highway, which needlessly rankled people who would have gladly given him the benefit of the doubt had he worked more closely with the community. Sure, if he won he would be infinitely better than Trump, and he wouldn't disgrace himself or his office with arbitrary, erratic conduct or nastiness... but there is no need for him as a savior for the Democrats.

If he's the most electable, I'm down.

Simple as that.

Can he win in crucial states like Pennsylvania and Arizona? That's what I care about.

My personal preferences can wait.

Is anyone else seeing daily TV commercials for Mike Bloomberg? After supper tonight I saw two and his commercials say just what I want to hear. It bothers me that there is only one side and no one is debating him, but I am beginning to lean toward him until I hear otherwise. After him my choice would be Joe Biden and I also like Cory Booker, Amy Klobuchar, Pete Buttigieg. I like Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders as people but not as candidates. Bloomberg, is he targeting his ads in just certain areas or is everyone seeing them?

He's 78, and he can't make up his mind what party he belongs to, and we don't need another billionaire running for president.

Re: Iowa Caucus Results Delayed [SPLIT]

I don’t talk about politics much on here but I will say that I think Mike Bloomberg is the strongest candidate that the democrats have. I think that Trump can beat the rest of them. I think Bloomberg can win over Trump voters. Buttigeg is just too unknown and you can’t really say his name.

Bloomberg is the best hope.

Plainly, I am pro-revolution over the false dichotomy we have been offered for centuries, BUT politics is an endless series of carefully weighed compromises.

The whole reason we got Trump as president is that the DNC played the Hillary or Die card and their bluff failed. It's public knowledge that the party scuttled any other candidate's chances in the primaries, and the voters either sat out or voted off in spite.

And here we are.

We NEED Bernie's reforms. We need nothing short of revolution for a reversal of the death grip American industrialists and speculators have on the government, and the tax system. We need visionary approaches to entrepreneurship and green energy. We need displacing industries and employment models to break the backs of the military industrialists who consume so much taxation that other infrastructure and development is starved as a result. We need wage reforms so drastic as to imbue America with the modern work week concept that the advanced Europeans have adopted.

But, we won't get there in this cycle. America could not have been as complacent about the impeachment if enough of the electorate were turning. They will have to be dragged further down before they get it. A war with Iran. Or a nuclear strike on one of our enemies. Or and environmental disaster greater than New Orleans. Or more race riots.

In the meantime, Bloomberg is the centrist who has enough progressive bona fides to satisfy the left when the others fail. And I agree that the others are all admirable candidates, but they will be hacked down in short order.

This is all playing out like the latter chapters of The Stand. If he doesn't get through, there will be no more Hemingford Home.

Sad.

If he loses in the primaries, then runs as an independent, then what? A D...ump win is inevitable, then.

He has committed himself to supporting whichever candidate gets the nomination.

The Left is not going to support Bloomberg.

It would seem that Bloomberg is climbing in the polls. I have no idea who will be the Democratic candidate, but no matter who, I will vote for them.
