I'm looking for opinions here. My TV went on the fritz last Sunday so I broke down and bought a flat-panel 52-inch LCD HDTV. Love it........... at the same time I also broke down and bought a Sony Blu-Ray DVD Player. I have to say I really love it as well. I got a couple of free blu-ray DVD's, after getting everything connected we watched one........the picture absolutely blew me away. I was honestly stunned.
The reason I got the blu-ray over the HD player was because of the advice of the sales people at Best-Buy. They say that blu-ray is winning out but I hear conflicting opinions about this from many different sources. So now I'm wondering what all you JUBbers think. Do you guys think that Blu-ray or HD will win out and, if so, why?
Right now I'm leaning towards Blu-ray obviously because I bought one, but I have read articles that think that both formats will be around for a long, long time.
