Bo's been very coy about putting a label on his sexual orientation. Even with me privately (and he and I are friends), he avoids using a word to put on it, he instead prefers to just say that he knows when the sexual attraction is there and when it isn't.
I'll tell you that just by observation, he's less concerned with the sex of his parters than he is the sexual chemistry. He likes guys who are smaller than him (which is hard.. he's not much taller than me) and tends to like them on the softer side. He's a very dominant guy so he likes the ones who are more submissive. I think the sex I've seen him enjoy the most is a 3-way tie between the first scene he did on SG4GE, the Geared Up scene with Leo Alarcon and the bisexual 3-way.

I wouldn't think much about Bo Dean is "puff pastry". It is hard to tell what his real personality is because he hasn't given alot of interviews and he works exclusively for Jake Cruise. Sexually he always seems game. The fact that his entire persona is onscreen or in the few behind the scenes (where he seems to be a nice guy-smiling and laughing- as opposed to some of those that are pure arrogance) makes it hard to write him off as just surface. I think the enigima adds to the allure.

I always thought Bo Dean's sexuality was apparent from the way he performed. I could be wrong. What bothers me about some of the discussion about him is that he's assumed straight by some people simply because he's more masculine.
How can we really discuss a performer's sexuality or their sexual openness when they are being paid to be sexually open? AND they are paid to make viewers believe that they are enjoying their scenes and their partners. That's their job.
I appreciate that Bo Dean has kept a very low profile. I've noticed when those performers (gay, straight, whatever) whose sexuality is questioned start discussing it, they often come across as complete assholes and/or dissembling fools. The whole "It's just sex. What difference does it make if the performer is gay?" defense is an overused and flawed argument.
