What are you talking about? Look at most of the men perceived as "sexiest" either in general media or in the gay world(especially gay porn) and people are shaved most of the time.

Why do you think bears are perceived as a fetish while shaved hairless twinks are not?

It's sexier for most people to NOT have hair. Most of the reactions to having hair have been "eww, why don't you shave your body hair?"

I like body hair if it's not a tangled jungle. I think it's really hot. However, some guys look better without body hair.. it depends.

I'm talking specifically with the gay world. I always see comments in the "galleries" section where people complain because a guy is shaved in a photo shoot.

When someone is shaved, it doesn't look natural to me. Like gdude I prefer someone who is okay with their body the way it is. To me, someone who shaves comes off as insecure. They don't like their body, they have this 'image' they need to fit, and frankly, that's a lot of time that could be spent grooming your body in a more important way. Trimming is alright, I understand you not wanting it to get out of control.

To me, realistic is attractive. That's the best way I can sum it up in a word. To me, shaving just isn't realistic. I don't know how else to explain it. In the more shallow sense, I also find the body type people have when they are smooth to be unattractive, and I loooooooove body hair. I love to rub it, I love it up against my skin, I love everything about it. I couldn't date someone without body hair, but it's not because smooth is 'gross', it just has absolutely zero physical attraction to me.

I can't grow chest hair to save my life. My legs have been hairy long before I hit puberty, as well as my thighs. My arms are decently hairy, but it's blond, so it's not really that noticeable, but you can still tell it's there. I prefer to trim my nether region. I'm not all about the shaved look (on me), but I don't mind it if it suits the other guy. I trim the treasure trail a bit so it looks neat, but I just shave what little chest hair I have, due to it growing in just one spot and it's not really dense enough to be considered hairy in the first place. Underarm hair I have to trim, mainly due to the deodorant I use. That Old Spice white powder type of stick likes to stick to the hair and tangle it all up when it's too long. Shaved my underarms a few times, either way, some of that hair has to go.

I don't really mind too much hair on guys, as long as it's at least trimmed down south, I'm usually ok with it. The one thing I don't like is hair on the scrotum, at least if the guy expects any part of me besides my hands to give it any action.

Wow! You completely miss the point of marketing. They are telling you what to watch. If all of a sudden, everybody found handlebar moustaches to be sexy and a turnon, all the porn models would have a handlebar moustache.

Anyways, I feel that some hair is sexy. If someone shaves their armpits, thats just unnatural. Hair actually serves as a function there.

I was a member of Sean Cody for a while and I remember at the time Sean complaining it was hard to get the straight guys to keep from shaving because his members preferred the hairier look.

Clothes can alter your body in some ways. If you want to get really technical about it and cross into another subject.

I know some tattoos are tribal though or can be. And can be more of a culture thing. The same can go for piercings. Maybe shaving too.

It is a personal preference - just like when you go to out to dinner - drink or not to drink, then is it wine or cocktails - all a personal preference.
