I want to get my back and other parts of my body waxed but I've seen some websites on salons and the prices are ridiculous. Has anyone ever found a person who does it from their own home and didn't charge as much?

I know it's painful but it seems more worth it then shaving or using nair.

my bad, didn't read properly hehe

you don't have a friend that can do it for you?

ask around and see if anyone you know has had it done somewhere more affordable, or put an ad up somewhere

Salon pricing are high because waxing the whole back is not that easy. The process may seem very easy. Apply on, strip off...but it is not.

Infact, at our salon I spent an estimate of an hour just waxing the back alone. Why?

You work in small sections at a time the size of fingers to cover the whole back.

That is why it is expensive. It takes time and effort. This is also the reason why you should do it at a salon.

The regular pricing for waxing the whole back should be around 35-50 bucks.

If its more expensive than this price, go find another place.

The benefit is that the hair grows back much thinner, some follicles actually becomes slower or dormant, therefore hair grows back not as thick and very sparse. Last but not least, the time it takes for it to grow back is about 2 weeks to 3 depending on you.

So, for 2-3 weeks you will have no hair at all..it is worth a try. I'm sure you'll like the results...but I'm not to sure about the pain! hehehe. just playing.

Thanks for the advice. ..|

I guess 50 bucks isn't THAT bad. I know it will hurt like hell but hopefully it will be done by a hot girl who works at the salon and she'll blow me in the wax room. :gogirl:

Just kidding. I didn't know back waxing was supposed to be done in small sections. I could have my aunt do it but she wouldn't spend an hour and would do it in large patches.

Is there any way to prevent break outs?
