The perpetually angry and ugly fascist leader of Brazil is wasting no time moving forward with his campaign to eradicate any trace of homo-ism in Brazil. This time it is stripping any mention of homos from school textbooks.

Is it because he is another closet case?

Is it because some guy made a pass at him when he was young?

Or is he just plain evil and intent on erasing any minorities he personally has an issue with?

Listening to him speak, I have no doubt that he is about to unleash death squads and will move to create detention camps at some point.

No one believes there will be any actual repression of gays in Brazil, with the flaming Carnival gayer than the finale episode of RuPaul's Drag Race. The Brazilians are hardly a compliant, servile populace. Gay culture is endemic there. It's not going anywhere, despite rhetoric on the right or left.

It's obvious he's some populist reactionary who represents the growing disparity between urban Brazil and rural. Swing of the pendulum.

It would be actual information to learn what the references to LGBTQ history are in their textbooks and why the reaction.

As for imagined future death camps, they would be in outer space if we're getting to just make up shit about governments, so at least gays would get to see the world on their way to their doom. What a poignant science fiction. Cue ray guns.

Brazil is a blend of cultures and has many immigrants. Still, Bolsinaro seems like a throwback to a nastier era.

Mark my words. He is going to make a move against the LGBTQ community in the not too distant future. This is just part of his campaign to legitimize it. We've seen all of this before.
 
Good. Just because one is gay doesn't permit them to perform acts of public vulgarity. There is a limit. All the power to him.
