I LOVED the first two Soloflex models! Hard to believe it has been 25 years since the first pic ads of this sexy dude posing on a Soloflex first appeared. Actually no one really heard of Soloflex before then. Then the dewd that replaced him was so sexy too (Randy?). Sad, but Soloflex seems to have fallen on hard times. I used to work for a company based near Hillsboro, Oregon (Soloflex HQs) and went to the HQ offices to buy a replacement part in 1989. It was busy as hell, parking lot full. In 2003, I returned again (no purpose, just actually in the area for work) and decided to stop by. Place looked forlorn, parking lot had at most two dozen cars. Woman at counter said business was off a lot from what it was (Bowflex and other competitiors I suppose) and I felt so bad I bought a couple T-shirts from her.
Does anyone remember the Bowflex (or was it Soloflex?) TV ad featuring the two marines in Khaki T-shirts talking about using the machine? God , were they hot! I've been trying to track down that commercial with no luck. The one really butch marine is my perfect guy!
