The athletes strip down (and sometimes bare all) if they do not make weight. Some fighters go to the point to shaving all their body hair, just to make sure that they cut weight.

Sorry to ruin the whole fantasy, but its purely just to make sure that they make weight.

like in the some of the videos a fighter might be a few ounces over the limit so they just whip thier pants off to save going for a jog or in the sauna. you sound like you know about the weigh-ins. do you have any pics or videos?
