And why is this almost 3 years old thread being brought to life now?

It was only practice for perfecting the art of bringing back threads that are much longer than three years old.

I was worried this thread had been disappeared - but here it is.

Just think of the horrific loss to the entire historical heritage of all humanity, that has therefore been prevented and salvaged.

First time i read this post from BenF.
I think this post is funny and it is a joke.

BenF was always a joy to read with his Welsh in your face comic posts a reminder that I should not take myself too seriously...highly unpopular with Mod towers for his plain speaking (diplomacy, and subtleness was absent in most of his contributions), and a real challenge for those who could not decipher his satire calculated to annoy those easily offended by his barbs...BenF was/is employed as a gasman at a Cardiff general hospital..where black humour is a necessary tool dealing with the suffering, and death of patients....one of my all time favourite posters....

I believe this thread is being slowly disappeared after all - there are posts missing. It was a funnier thread - I distinctly remember someone advising BenF to stab his boyfriend in the neck, which always made me laugh most of all.

And why couldn't I find it with JUB search this time? I had to resort to Google.
