Brad Pitt for Gay Marriage

I can see the religious right of his hometown in Springfield Mo(the bible belt of Missouri) going crazy over this issues. Appreciate his thought and support.

Uh-huh (Rolls-Eyes)... yet another meaningless statement by another know- nothing celebrity.

Most of them feel guilty that they make millions of dollars by being a pretty face on an 1.5 hour film every few months. They feel so guilty and unfulfilled that they grasp onto anything that would legitimize their lifestyles and their feelings of self-worth. Therefore, you find them mingling in things they have no business being a part of like politics and international humanitarian missions. Celebrities serve more to distract than to inform... and the captivation the general public has on a particular celebrity would be very dangerous if utter nonsense that a celebrity spews forth is lauded as high philosophical thinking.

As a gay person, I would be content if celebrities just didn't have anything bad to say about gays. But they shouldn't insult our intelligence by spearheading social/political movements that they really don't understand and can't personally sympathize with. Celebrities have turned the institution of marriage into a farce by spending more time planning boastful weddings than fixing problems that arise after their nuptials. So, the only marriage Brad Pitt should be worried about is his own assured short-lived one.

Just consider this as another shrewd move by Brad Pitt's publicist to get gay people to go to his movies and spend more on Brad Pitt related products.

oh my dear god!!!! just cause he's a celebrity his opinions matter less and he should shut up?? thank god for people like him and angelina who are actually using their celebrity to better humanity by speaking out (the 4 million brad got from people for his daughter's pics, he and angelina gave to some charity in namibia...and angelina donated another 3 million to charities in 2005) if they are giving so much of their wealth away, why can't they also speak out on issues like gay marriage...their opinions are as valid as yours...i know you're a conservative oden so of course you're going to despise any hollywood actor because of their leftist politics but it's weird cause i thought republicans were all about private charity...anyway, brad doesnt' just talk shit...he actually puts his money where his mouth is and that's something we should respect.

Awesome...:-)
Too bad he didn't demand that Patroclus was his lover and not his cousin in that movie Troy....

I hate to start rumors, but Brad Pitt seems a lot more gay-friendly since he ditched Jennifer Aniston. I hope that's just a coincidence; I'm really pretty fond of her.

I don't care what he thinks. If he doesn't want to marry her, he should be honest and not use an issue like the right for gays to marry. So much bullshit!

I am not a Republican Dammit!!! I wouldn't begin to associate myself with a party that disenfranchises hard working Americans to pacify unpatriotic and traitorous big enterprise. I call my self a patriotic, moderate Democrat... if that makes sense to anyone blinded by clear-cut party lines and particular party loyalties.

As far as Jolie and Pitt go... I think they are just opportunists that are just finding ways to slake boredom in their decadent, privileged lives. Think about that when Jolie prances into yet another dusty, famine stricken 3rd World village in a t-shirt and jeans ensemble worth more than that town's annual wages.

I do appreciate their statemente, but I suoect it is just another marketing move. IIRC, he insisted on cutting off any reference to a gay relationship in the Troja movie ?
