Heyy there everyone!
I'm like... brand new to this
but I was just wondering if anyone has anything they do after a break up, to get over it.

I usually eat like TONS of ice cream like a little piggy and listen to adele<3

What do you guys do?

Survivor,
I am moving your thread to the hot topics forum. More people will be able to respond to it there. This forum is for the posting of self-pictures.

Typically i make a voodoo doll of the guy who dumped me and curse him using Jamaican VooDoo priestess

But in a healthy way...

Thanks ron!! Actually I was wondering if you could help me. In another one of the forums I wanted to add a pic to my post, and usually my link is from tinypic or something but it still doesn't work right. Could you help?

I've done the burning ritual too, and it worked for me. You write down a "eulogy" for the relationship. You go to a place that was significant in the relationship, proabably at night, then read it, maybe cry a little which is helpful, then burn the paper. Somehow it helps to purge some of your thoughts and feelings about that relationship.

1) buy a nice malt - splurge, you deserve it
2) stop remembering the warm and fuzzy shit. Remember the times where he made you feel so small and worthless.
3) see #1

Full fat ice-cream and sex with an old ex.

Whiskey sounds reasonable, but what do I know... Never been in a relationship, so I've never been through a breakup, but whiskey just sounds good!

This thread is perfect cause I'm tired listening to my friend's break up saga every month. He came back from clubbing and saw his ex's current bf and felt jealous and angry again, especially that his ex still owes him a lot of money that he loaned but is showing cold feet on repaying them. I think only time heals breakups. The longer it passes the colder the feelings and memories get so you will eventually move on. The worst part is being in the scene where you will be seeing your ex bfs everywhere you hang out.

The only way to get over one man is to get under another

Seriously, time heals. Let it go, stay away from where he might be and eventually you'll bet past him and onto something better

There's nothing you can really do. I listened to my favorite songs, watched my comforting favorite television shows, and laughed with my best friends. Even tried the 'to get over someone get under someone else' but...Anyhow, on some days I still find myself feeling a little down about.

The best remedy is time :)

This last time I bought myself a decent bottle of bourbon, cried a lot, started working out more and began dressing better. Now, I'm just waiting it out. Time's the only thing that really helps.
