He signed with the Vikings today.

May not sound like irritating news unless you'r from Wisconsin, but he's been playing a little game with everyone for the past couple months.

After his season with the Jets, he decided he was going to toy around with the idea of playing with the Vikings. He was just in talks with them, then he decided against it. Then he decided he was going to do it. Then he decided he wasn't. Then he was supposed to report to training camp. Then he didn't, and made it clear that he did not want to return to football at all. Then he signed today.

UGH! Just shut the fuck up already!

Ha ha, he's playing next door to you now. :)

Is there such a shortage of NFL-worthy quarterbacks these days that teams are forced to sign guys like Vick and Favre?

^ I know! It's like a slap in the face! At least it's not da Bears...

Didn't you live in San Antonio?

Brett has become a huge disappointment to me.

I've met him a couple of times. Nice guy but a little bit on the 'dumb as a box of rocks' side. But he had a GREAT career with the Pack and should have left it that way. He could have made bazillions of dollars doing endorsements and the like and stayed down in Kiln, Mississippi and never had to return to the Great White North again and would have been loved by the Cheeseheads and Yoopers forever.

But with all the waffling, even his fans have had it. Even Steve Mariucchi is shaking his head. Why, Brett, Why?

I really think it is his agent that's the problem. Really, really bad advice. Retire, unretire, retire, unretire. It is so tiring.

What? No... I've always lived in Wisconsin... Well, since I've been on JUB, at least. Never lived anywhere in TX...
Oh...I SWEAR I thought you lived in SA at some point in my knowing you.

You guys are giving Brett such a hard time! Didn't he lead the Jets to the promised land last year? Oh yeah, he didn't.

Think of it this way.... at least ESPN will dispatch all of their hacks to Philly and Minnesota. They should be set for the year, thus leaving the rest of our teams alone.

damn!! ... i was hoping he'd sign with the Saints ... we could use some action down here .....

It will be interesting to watch.

I have many friends and family members here in MN who are die hard Packers fans. I'll be anxious to hear their reaction.

Kev, I feel your pain.....

It was bad enough that Brett defected for a year to the Jets, but now to have him in your own backyard, playing for the Vikings.....

He's doing what Joe Montana, Joe Namath, and countless others did, not stopping while he was ahead.....

Even though I am a diehard Bills fan (and have been all my life) I always thought Brett rocked.

He's already made his place on the Hall of Fame. What more does he want?

Brett on the Vikings is like TO joining the Bills. It will cause lots of media attention, but will it actually make the team better? Only time will tell.....

He really should just stick to making commercials for Wrangler Jeans or Levi's or whatever the hell that shit was.

He obviously wasn't very good at it if you can't remember. :)

I think it all stems from him not being able to pronounce his name right.

:P

Go Bears!
