Back to Creepy Old Fart
Thanks to all who provided input into my earlier job change issues!

I am very pleased to announce that the new job I chose to accept has now, and quite quickly--in the space of 10 short weeks--turned into a Management position that is equal in pay to my previous position, better benefits including an amazingly generous employee discount (cost plus, as opposed to a straight percentage). Plus, in just 90 days will be subject to a review and will be eligible for yet another raise in salary.
My Official title is Seasonal Department Manager, but because it is Seasonal, the Job Description in my 'off season' times includes researching and purchasing New products to sell that I think may boost the business.
I also get to do a little travel--to the semi-annual conventions to start--for buying for my Department, and some help with other departments that are not so variable--if I see new products that show promise, I get to buy them too. First trip is to the Spring Convention in Las Vegas in early March; second one is in August in Chicago. I will not make the trip next week to Atlanta but will be doing that one in 2017. There may be more but I won't have that information for a few weeks.
I am very excited about this new direction, and thank those of you that contributed to my decision. Even thought this not exactly
a professional advice message board, your advice did influence my decision and I truly appreciate it!
And for those of you that read this posting, and are dissatisfied with your current job, remember to NOT underestimate yourself, don't settle for a poor working environment. There are other opportunities out there! It may briefly cause you some minor distress, but NEVER SETTLE! It's not worth it!
