Britney Spears holds kids hostage and is rushed to Hospital!!!

Okay I actually feel really sorry for her now. At first I just thought she was just crazy and lived in her own little world and wouldnt listen to anyone but now doctors are saying she is really sick. She may be bi-polar and this isnt anything to joke about. I hope she gets well.

Where do she go from here professionally speaking? If you were her publicists or handlers what is there left to say. I hope that this incident allows her to get the real help she needs. Its going to be a long road back.

Bipolar isnt a disease its an unfortunate illness.

Am I the only one seeing some irony here?

Britney is marginally talented at best. She lucked into a good situation, a good song, and a good producer. Apparently, she's ill-equipped for the pressures of fame. That's fine - it happens. Ideally, she should just slink back into obscurity and try her best to try to build something resembling a life. But she can't. Something is preventing her from doing that.

Her fans.

Since blundering her way to the top of the pop heap, her fans have done everything in their power to keep her there. When anything negative happens to her or her career, they're immediately on the case with excuses and finger-pointing. "Her heel broke!" "Her label MADE her do that!" "She has issues she's dealing with!" All basically saying "It's not her fault!"

But when something positive happens, all the praise and accolades are heaped on HER shoulders. I especially liked the poster who said "I really like the interesting things she's done with her voice on the new CD", as if she accomplished it all with vocal technique rather than some guy in a room futzing around on a computer.

She's a nine-day wonder on her third or fourth week (if not month). And still, the fans keep clamoring. "We love you, Britney!" "We support you, Britney!" "We're behind you all the way!" And so, the record label shrugs their shoulders, puts out another album, and keeps her in the spotlight for another six to twelve months.

Apparently, she's finally cracked. After living her life in a spotlight for over eight years - five more than she probably deserved - she lost it. And her fans, conditioned as always, turned their fingers outwards.

"The media won't leave her alone!" they accuse, forgetting that they're the ones Googling her name and desperately sopping up all the dregs the self-same media chooses to get on her.

"You haters drove her to it!", they exclaim, forgetting we "haters" probably wouldn't even remember her name by this point if her fans didn't keep clamoring to keep her famous and in the spotlight.

"She's got a mental condition!" they cry, forgetting that by insisting on her fame continuing far beyond its expiration date, they probably contributed to making the condition as bad as it is.

So I have a suggestion for all Britney "supporters" and "fans". Take a tip from Chris Crocker.

And leave Britney alone.

Let her be. Stop reading about her, stop demanding new material, stop pushing her back into the spotlight that appears to be fucking her up so badly over the past several years. Let her leave fame behind, and learn how to be a human again.

Or don't you think she deserves that?

Lex

As a loyal Britney fan from day 1 I totally agree with you. I understand she needs to be left alone. I was EXTREMELY surprised when Jive and her released her album so soon after all this drama the past year. As a TRUE fan I only want the best for her. If its her taking a few years and sinking away and getting better. Then I'm all for her doing that. I bet its all just really scary for her and she doesnt know how to handle it all. I'll be honest if it was me and someone was trying to take my kids away from me that I held in my body for 9 months I would go off too!! I would go ballistic. I believe thats love for the child. My mom did it for my brother and I. But my mom did it in more of a mature way.

And for the argument about Cher and Olivia. IF paparazzi would have been around back when they started hitting the scene and over the span of their careers I'm pretty sure something if anything would have been caught on camera. Especially if they were heavily followed like the A-List celebrities of today. Times have changed. Now a days if a celeb gets a pic taken by paparazzi and it just looks werid you can pretty much bet its going to be in a magazine with some stupid headline. They didnt do that a long time ago when Cher and Olivia first came out AS MUCH!

It does seems that Britney Spears is in the paparazzi/tabloid news a ton more than most celebs, including the likes of Hilton & Lohan (especially these last few months) And I don't know about the Cher situation, but its obvious that times have changed & these Hollywood "starlets" do get a ton more attention than celebs did just 10, 15, or 20 years ago. Accompanied by things like Perez Hilton, TMZ, blogs, more aggressive paparazzi, etc it doesn't take a brain scientist to figure that the spotlight on someone like Spears is significantly greater than those who had struggling personal lives years ago

Not saying its all her fault, but I'm also not saying thats its all everyone else's fault. I agree if her fans really want the best for her, then they should stop trying to defend her at every screw-up she makes or stop demanding her so much attention & just let her be ignored for a while...

G-Lexington said it best, she is marginally talented at best & just got really lucky to come onto the music scene when she did with the song(s) she had. But she just really needs to get whatever help & just not be known for sometime.

There are a ton of people hugely more talented, rich, & famous (famous in a respectable classy way) than Spears that handle their fame, sanity, & personal lives in a successful way; who are just as young and/or old as Britney is.

Why should she get special treatments & have all the blame for her disasters placed on her management, the tabloids, or K-Fed or her mom or whoever else people say is responsible for her embarrassing, sad life?

>>>Not saying its all her fault, but I'm also not saying thats its all everyone else's fault.<<<<<

i def agree what that .. obviously u all knowing I LOVE LOVE LOVE britney

but im not saying this is not her fault .. because it is .. but it also def has something to do with people using her , & people leaving her like k-fed , her aunt who died jan. last year , felicia her assiant since baby one more time , also i think its the people she hang out with too

>> I agree if her fans really want the best for her, then they should stop trying to defend her at every screw-up she makes or stop demanding her so much attention & just let her be ignored for a while...<<

for this & what g-lex said .... i agree that sometimes us fans demand more from her...... but i dont think her fans are the reason for this..... i also dont think its the haters .. ( llke perez hilton & blogs like that) ... i think is alot of the papparazzi .. even if it is good papparazi . they have to back off!

now for me. when britney was in rehab from feb to march .. for the 30 week program .. i think that was when i wa happiest .. she was away ... even though she wasnt releasing songs & stuff . i was happy & was fine ( i didn't want more from her or put pressure for her to release any material ) i wanted her to get better...

i dont know about any other britney fan .. but i think she should go in rehab . or stay in a clinic of some sort & just recover ... ya know? just put this battle on hold , like just let k-fed have the kids ( i know that will be VERY HARD!!) but shes gotta get better before she can spend more time with these kids ... she should just wait till sh gets better .. talk to her mom & sister .. get talking to her cousin alli & her other cousin laura lynn & just stay in contact with them , share her problems with them & ask them for help... when she is there in a clinic or rehab , i will back off & let her breathe , because she needs that , but the papparazzi will not & thats what upsets me ....

so someones who is bi polar is possessed and needs a priest ?

>>>she still never fails to entertain no joke.

Someone missed the VMAs last year.

Lex

i hope she doesn't get better. I was actually hoping she would die, but that would just make me hear more about her. So the next best thing would be for her to be silently and slowly sent into obscurity. hasn't happened yet. I'll be happy if she stays locked up for her stupidity (not illness) and isn't able to be TOXIC to society. Look what she's done to the posters here! She's made them totally biased for her (a woman who is a villain to most of society's virtues).

lordy lordy let this be the end. PLEASE

***stand up and applauds***

Honestly, I don't think anyone could've said it better than that. You hit the nail RIGHT on the head.
