Actaully.. I kinda agree.. if you saw that video of the midnight sale, it was the queeniest of the queeny boys and a bunch of fat girls who were literally crying as they picked up the album.

You know, a lot of people have bought that CD from where I work, and you know what? It's more to do with her fans from when she debuted what? 13 years ago? So no it does not consist entirely of gay men, and that's one of the dumbest things I've heard all year I think.

Doesn't she have the No. 1 or No. 2 album in the USA right now? I think that would indicate she still has a fair few die-hard female fans as well as the gay guys. Straight guys were never after her for her music anyway. I've bought two of her new songs off itunes, but that's as far as my support goes.

BTW what are Madonna's and Cher's fanbases at this point. Wouldn't it be comparable to Britney's mostly gay men? Not sure about the fat girls!

Also, why the degree of hostility in the backlash? It just seems so way over the top. There has to be something more here. Everyone seems to be throwing all their own negative crap her way. If you don't like her, then just shut up and go listen to your Eagle's album. You waited 27 years for it anyway.

Some of my students burned a copy of the CD for me as a joke. Not too bad. Only could only listen through it once though.

I don't know of ANY straight guys who likes Spears today. It's not 2000 anymore. That 1st weeks sales of 294,000 copies or whatever is hardly impressive. It's basically gays and their fag hags keeping Britney's sagging career afloat. Nobody else cares.

Her second week totals are estimated to be 95-105K, that's more than a 66% drop. She's finished.
