She might have been doing it for a long time but it has increased a lot with age and reaching it's peak around the time she was having her breakdown.

Obviously it is more than a cute habit when it has reached the point of you still doing it when you are upset and crying.

At this point in time it should be obvious Britney Spears is mentally ill. I'm a hardcore fan of hers but I'm not gonna be in denial about it.

she wouldn't be where she's at if it weren't for the machine behind her and the people that eat that bullshit up. seriously, what talent does she have? everybody around her except HER is responsible for her success. she literally is a puppet that never worked to get to where she's at and still to this day, she still has people that basically are the ones that do everything for her. write her songs, plan on pr moves, teach her how to dance, and etc. i don't care what anybody says. to make it all worse, she CAN'T sing. she's a singer that CANNOT sing. how many artists out there with singing talent can't get deals or are struggling to sell records and SHE out of all people is getting all this attention. she is NOT ambitious. it's the people AROUND her that are ambitious enough to put her to the top. the person who was ambitious was her mother. that's WHO i give props to. her mother was the one that was making all the moves and then from there, other people jumped in. britney spears is NO michael jackson, prince, rick james, barbara streisand, and etc.

to say that her life is disasterous is an insult to all of us people out here that have to struggle in life to simply get the simple things while busting our ass off while someone like her basically has had shit handed down to them. she's literally been pushed to the point where people have been brainwashed into liking her vocally challenged ass.

what struggles? there's way more people in the music bizz that struggled more than she ever had, have busted their asses to get where they're at and you and some of these other guys are quick to shit on them such as jay-z and kanye west. these dudes basically WORKED their way to the top doing it themselves and yet you will toss credit to britney spears who basically didn't do shit herself AND will hate on jay-z who basically had to force his way into the industry. why are people giving her undeserved credit? give me a break.

and the only struggle she has and continues to have is her narcissism. she is a narcissist. she literally has done it all to stay in the limelight from getting pregnant from a deadbeat daddy and marrying him to shaving her head. the sad thing is there's people that actually feel sorry for her and yet it never occurred to them that a lot of the shit she does is for attention because she's used to being talked about. she ain't bipolar.

To be honest, i dont think this girl has such a huge talent. Her voice is weak, cant play instruments and doesnt write her own music (at least back days), she is a good dancer though but Britney is supposed to be a singer in first place and she is very weak in this area.

I also think she was totally unable to handle with her mental disorder back days (adding the break up with Justin Timberlake) and thats why her career declined that much but fortunately, she regained the fame these days. She was so so so lucky because once a singer´s success fades, it is a bit hard to come back to the spotlight.

The funny part is when Timberlake made money off their break up and Britney´s private life LOL. I love Timberlake music but what he did is a bit disgusting.

Britney worked her ass off since she was a child.

She isn't a puppet, she is aware of everything and she allows it, for over a decade she was the most famous person in the planet because she wanted to, but her huge ambitions and naivety backfired at her.

Currently she is smart enough to be extremely sucessful despite putting basically no effort into her work.

her MOM was her manager. she was the one that was executing all the moves in the beginning for little brit. she was the one that got her to the talent shows and the mickey mouse club. don't know about everything else BUT what i do know is that britney spears never was the one that was responsible for her success. everything from her music writing, to the dance moves, to the business decisions, and etc is basically done by everybody BUT her. it would be one thing if she could sing BUT she can't even do that.

you britney spears fans will say anything to make her look like she legitmately worked her way to the top. PLEASE.

Anyone who can pull themselves back from that sort of breakdown, let alone a very public nervous breakdown, has my respect. For most people hitting rock bottom occurs privately, with no recognition by the public. I can only imagine how much harder it would be to recoup and get your feet back under you when it's done in the glare of the public eye and with paparazzi following your every move.

She obviously has a very strong support network behind her. But without the inner strength to do the work, she'd could just as easily have ended up another "Hollywood casualty".

Whether you like her music or not, think she's talented or not, that's a woman with a hell of a lot of inner strength. I think people are so quick to judge, so quick to make comments without understanding the impact a mental health issue can have on a person. She rebuilt her life and she came out on top.
