Britney had 5 hits in the last 4 years, C'mon.. is is not bad at all, But she really needs to work with better producers again, Like Max Martin or Danja...

Since Work Bitch she has been working with the wrong producers (will.i.am and the invisible men), And she can actually put any song into the top 3 of charts, Work Bitch and Pretty Girls was number one in +40 different countrys in digital sales at the first week, but she falls very quickly because well... the songs are not the best choices for singles, C'mon Brit, u can do better...

Britney Spears was recently caught up in a Twitter scandal as Pretty Girls collaborator Iggy Azalea seemed to call her out for the single's flop.


Azalea responded to a fan’s disappointment that the pairing of these pop princesses hadn’t resulted in chart gold because Spears wasn’t available to promote it.

Iggy posted.

When Spears fans protested, Azalea insisted “My comment is factual, it applies to any song.”

And she was right, ignoring the fact the song isn’t that good.

Viral videos can create a chart hit but they have failed to kill the radio star, even in the digital era.

Social media can alert your millions of fans to the song’s existence but without airplay, it will struggle to make it to the upper echelons of the charts.

The music industry has started spruiking streaming figures as a measure of success but that consumption of a single generally happens in the weeks after a song has cemented its position on radio station playlists.

It doesn’t make sense in a decade where music fans can listen — or watch — their favourite songs via Spotify or YouTube at the click of a link.

Why wait around to listen to it on the top 40 radio countdown or sit in the car waiting for the radio jock to back announce that song you just heard because you are keen to download it?

Perhaps the radio spins validate the song’s appeal to a passive music fan, those who aren’t the passionate early adopters trawling through Triple J’s Unearthed site, SoundCloud or YouTube to find something new.

Pretty Girls should have been a hit considering the massive volume of pre-promotion it scored via social and mainstream media. You couldn’t miss the photos from the video.

But it appeared all of the hype — and having two of the biggest names in pop collaborating on a song — wasn’t enough.

Spears rarely does media chats — she just isn’t very good at them — and her non Vegas performances these days are restricted to creating a “moment” at awards shows. Their only televised performance of the song was at the Billboard Music Awards.

Without doing the rounds of the powerful pop stations in America to sing the praises of Pretty Girls and pose for happy snaps with the bosses, radio wasn’t going to play it. And it died.

So Azalea gets called out for starting a “beef” with Britney when she was only guilty of trying to explain how the business of pop music works.

Perhaps her next singing guest will be an artist who can also do the talking.

Some one said her music sucks lol. I would say that about Selena Gomez or Jessica Simpson not Britney though. Ok her last album wasn't so great but In The Zone and Blackout make up for it. I've loved Britney since 1999 and am still a big fan.
