Since when does being successful make someone an artist? In fact the VAST majority of artist throughout history were grossly underappreciated in their day.

Case and point the following:

1) The "Saw" movie franchise is one of the most successful horror franchises in history. In fact it's well on the verge of being one of the top grossing horror franchises of all time, Saw II set a record of the largest Halloween weekend opening and Saw III promptly broke that record the following year. Saw III was single handedly responsible for giving Lion's Gate it's top grossing weekend in box office history. The franchise has been able to keep audience coming back with incredible frequency pulling in much large profits off it's sequels than the Halloween series or Friday the 13th.

It is also... nothing more than torture porn whose quality is rapidly degenerating as each film the characters become more vapid, the traps more gorey and less suspensful. In conclusion yeah it's garnered commercial success but... it sucks.... much like....

2) Ann Coulter- an "author" who has hit the New York Times Best Seller list six out of six times. She has gained natoinally noteriety and appeared as a political "expert" or "pundint" on MSNBC, CNN, and FOX News. She's consistently pulled in strong numbers for her publishers (please don't make me look for them... I'll be so disgusted by them I'll need to lay down for a while) and is undoubtedly found success in the world of writing.

She is also... a hate-mongering shrew-bitch who has shown no inkling of compassion or political awareness in any of her incepid misinformed books.

So only on the day that the Saw franchise becomes cinematic masterpiece and Ann Coulter becomes a vertiable political genius will anything you said matter.

There is no way I am respecting a woman who thinks people are traveling through time and has the political philosophy of "just do what you're told" simply because she's the mouth piece for a corporation that is churning out a brand of bland formulaic pop music.

Thank you. Britney is successful because people like her. Britney has this innate likeablity...you can't help but to want to like her and root for her. She may not be the most talented singer or dancer...but no matter how good you are at something, there will always be someone better than you. But, at the same time, I refuse to believe that there is no single person in the whole entire world who is better than everyone else. Who's the best comes down to your own personal preferences. And Britney has accomplished so much in her career. She's the 8th best selling female artist in the US of all time because people LIKE her. Talent, I believe is a matter of taste. Perception. People like who they like and it's their right. I'd like to see this trash talking guy accomplish what she has and maybe then he'll right a right to run his mouth. Lol.
