Hay guys i just watched brokeback mountian and i wondered if any one else has seen it a what they thought about the film because i really liked it apart from the end because he died

I thought it was brilliant. Danno, I can see I'm gonna have to put you over my knee.....

The movie sucked. I was so disappointed. It was just a sappy girl movie.

it's not even that it was a sappy movie that made it crappy, i like SOME sappy movies, but this thing just had a crap-tastic type of story line. it SUPER SUCKED. the movie's story line was stupped. i was disappointed to. T-T

To say the obvious, not everyone likes the same things.

I thought, for what it was, it was pretty good as did many people handing out film awards that year and the millions who went to see it.

Ang Lee managed to create a lyrical downer lover story that got a lot of people hooked into it, gay and straight.

It's a film that works on many levels. One of the issues that I didn't focus on originally is that homophobia and gay bashing was just one of them. The relationship between the two guys didn't get any closer than the regular high altitude fucks, not because of the threat of anti-gay violence, but because one of them just wasn't available for anything more. Many of us have been there on that one.

I think that something that is most often missed out on is that Annie Proulx's story is set in rural America of the 60s. The world was a very different place then, and the choices men made were predicated on a very different series of societal assumptions...
It seems strange today that only a couple of decades ago being homosexual called for very different behaviors...

I was very pleased with this movie it wasnt to sappy, and it wasnt a porn film like some people probably wanted to see

I saw the movie with my sister. The Lifetime Television watching, Julia Roberts loving, tear jerker queen and we both weren't that impressed! Sorry!

Watch it one more time.... my first impression wasn't that great either.... but on a second view I had a greater appreciation for the story line and the anguish that was felt between the two guys.
Just try it once more Danno. (*8*)

meh.. it was ok.

I hated it at first, but it's a beautifully made movie even if it IS just another movie where the gay characters are miserable for the whole thing and then die at the end.

Sure makes me glad I have the guts to come out.
