When presented with the broken image link box icon, I know to copy the image info. and open it in a new tab. I also know this happens when certain sites, like Imgur, don't like direct linking, especially from sites like JUB. :jab:

Now there is a 'new' site some posters are using that's been coming up as "broken". That would be images from pbs.twimg.com. #-o

Does anyone know if pbs.twimg is JUBophobic, or is it a browser setting in FireFox that's frustrating me? (*@*)

And, no, the "block box" in image info. window is not checked. [-X

That site hasn't worked for a long time. They just might not allow hot linking.
 
*.twimg.com is part of Twitter (split the name up: tw img = twitter image)
Could be, like Alistair said they just don't allow hotlinking
