Brothers & Sisters <> Season 2

Oh, and the episode was another great one. Justin was an ass, but understandably so. He is cursed with the pride of a man, which causes him to not want to seem weak, or different to his family and do everything himself. He doesn't want to feel like he is injured, and participate in everything that the others get to. That, mixed with wanting to wipe what he had to see go on in Iraq...the evils of war...away from his memory caused him to snap at his mom.

Okay, I'ma make a comment, aware of the spoiler tags. Because everyone practically knows about Saul, I refuse to use them. I mean, this is a topic about Season 2 of B&S, and we've already seen what we are being led to know about Saul...

I can't wait for Saul to come out. Maybe, as Ron Rifkin (Saul) mentioned, have a mature relationship, and not with some guy half his age, but someone HIS age.

Everyone has their own preference. I find Matthew incredibly sexy. More so than Balthazar. I love his natural accent and his, as you put it, plain looks. Jason Lewis wasn't THAT hot. He was sexy, but I'm not really into long hair, so I find him less attractive than Matthew. Dave is definitely the sexiest of all the men. As for least attractive, I would say John (Joe).

Agreed. Matthew is quite attractive. And I enjoy his character the most--Kev's acerbic wit and driven focus, is nicely balanced with his vulnerability in relationships.

---

The episode itself, was pretty good. I'm finding that this show is slowly becoming my favourite; and Saul's pending outing is only adding to my interest.

I think you're reading too much into the whole thing about casting Matthew. They casted him because he combined attractiveness with acting. Hell, they had the sexy Rebbecca have an attraction to Joe, who I find pretty unattractive. They do have some reservations to looks, but overall, they wanted a talented cast, which they pulled off superbly.

</end shallow rant ^_^>

My friends and I do find Mathew (Kev) to be very attractive and Joe was average.
Did you see the Family album episode where he was speaking his Native british accent. I couldn't believe how good he is with American accent so is Rachel Griffith.
Isn't she Australian ? but she kept her American accent during the interview though.

Who needs Kevin to be a glamorpuss?

I think it's great that he sems like an ordinary Joe.

This was another great episode.

I was surprised that Rebecca came clean about the kiss. Maybe she isn't going to be the bitch I thought she'd be.

And what a great send up of Rush Limbaugh!

it's easy for people from england and australia to do american accents because our culture is much more prevalent there than other cultures are in our country. the most popular american shows here are often the most popular shows there as well. and american music artists and movie stars are quite dominant in those countries too.

i hate to be the shallow one but i find kevin not very unnattractive. i think he's by far the least attractive guy on the show. balthazar, rob lowe, the guy who plays justin, and all of kevin's boyfriend are all so hot, he's so plain in comparison. his personality is really annoying to me too. i just don't see people being attracted to him. like how jason lewis noticed his hot body at the gym last season. i don't buy it.

i know there's always complaints about something. but i think he was purposely cast because they can't make the gay guy too attractive because then he would be someone women would be disappointed is gay.

I disagree! I find him so hot. Did you see his Advocate cover? One of their best. I just hate these straight actors being "honorary" gays! But I do enjoy the show. I think Saul is gay and will have something going on with this guy(Can you believe that's the guy from Flashdance!!!). I thought the gay brother getting carted off to Malaysia was dumb though. But I look forward to the show. T.V. doesn't usually suck me in but this show does. Great cast.

And what a great send up of Rush Limbaugh!

Yeah, it was. The thought of folks being so incensed over the implication that Lincoln was gay that they were going to line up along the highway and throw pennies at the car as it drove by is pretty fucking hysterical when you think about it....

I think the actor that played 'Rush' played the radio station manager in 'Frasier'.

Wettig & Olin Together Again on "Brothers & Sisters"

EW.com has learned that Ken Olin will join his wife Patricia Wettig on screen for a three-episode arc of Brothers & Sisters. Olin, who also executive produces the ABC drama, will play a former lover of Holli Harper (Wettig) who comes back into her life and exposes some personal secrets. The couple's son, Cliff Olin — who's a writer on the series — may pen one of the episodes. Filming begins later this month. Olin and Wettig, who have been married since 1982, starred together on ABC's thirtysomething.

It's funny that in thirtysomething they hardly ever interacted with each other on screen, except when the whole cast was together.

I'm looking forward to this.

Another great episode.

Anyone happen to know the name of the Rolling Stones song that was playing in the background when they were loading Justin into the car ?

I love that song, and haven't heard it since I was I kid, but I have no idea how to find out what the title was.....

Here you go

Artist: Lenny Kravitz
Song: No expectations (rolling stones cover with mick jagger)
Album:
[B u y " " CD]

(Mick Jagger)
Take me to the station,
And put me on a train
I've got no expectations,
To pass through here again

(Lenny Kravitz)
Once I was a rich man,
And now I am so poor
But never in my sweet short life
Have I felt so like this before

(Mick Jagger)
Your heart is like a diamond,
You throw your pearls at swine
And as I watch you leaving me,
You pack my peace of mind

(Lenny Kravitz)
Our love was like the water
That splashes on a stone
Our love is like our music,
It's here and then it's gone

(Mick Jagger)
So take me to the airport,
And put me on a plane
I've got no expectations
To pass through here again

(Lenny Kravitz & Mick Jagger)
To pass through here again

Wow another great episode.

This one was particularly moving though for me, especially that last scene with Nora showing her concern for Justin.

This family is just so amazing and so real, i love it.

I dont like that Tommy lied about his wife and why she is with her parents but i guess since he confided in Saul its not that bad.

I thought Rebecca and Holly made up last week, why is she still living at the Walkers, not that i mind, i guess i am just happy she and her mom are on good terms.

For some reason i like Leena even though i feel she will have an affair with Tommy. This episode made me like her and it hit home when she called Tommy.

I get the feeling that the senates was not completely honest about the nanny.

Justin can be a real pain sometimes but fro some reason i cant stay mad at him for long.

Was Justin naked in the bubble bath? The thought of him naked in the tub is so hot, and Kevin must have had to help him in LOL

I dont remember season one all that well so i dont know if i ever liked Scotty, i just remember him being a bitch to Kevin and i didnt like it, however i kinda liked him today but he is no match for minister hotty IMO.

Nora walker is such an incredible character, Sally Field struck gold with her.

Sally and Glenn are going to have to battle it out next year lol

I liked the episode...but it wasn't my favorite....I didn't even shed a tear this time...I swear I do each episode. I started to well up a bit maybe...but nothing too major. This was def an episode that was kinda just advancing the storylines for the rest of the season(Tommy and Leena...Justin and the meds..Kevin and Scottie)....but an alright episode of this show is ten times better than a good episode of almost any other show...so I can't complain...haha

Yeah..that's typical for October. With football and baseball in 'full swing' (ha ! I made a funny ! ;)) and taking away lots of viewers, shows tend to tread water until the November sweeps... and then come the holiday episodes....

Lots of good stuff in a couple of weeks, I'll bet.

Good episode...couple things pissed me off though. Even though nothing happened between Kevin and Scotty, I can kinda guess that maybe something will happen.

Tommy's wife taking the kid back to her parents. She is pissing me off big time this season.

And at the end of the episode - Justin spacing out. Come on...I have taken painkillers and don't space out like that. I think that this is going to be foreshadowing of what's to come.

From last night, Justin (Dave Annable) in the tub

Well, when Tommy told his wife before she left that she was the love of his life..
Ok.. I lost it. I cried like a baby... Wish he would say that to me...(*8*)

Oh I wish Scotty had a better role other than to be Kevin's rebound guest-star on the show. I hope that the writers (or is it the actor portraying Scott) decide to keep him, or remove him completely. Having him pop in every few episodes because the writers can't keep Kevin in a long-term relationship with someone actually appearing on the show is becoming old. I know his unwillingness to commit is part of his character, but I personally want to see him in a relationship like Kitty's, or Tommy, or anyone else that we see their partner in more than three episodes.

Has anyone noticed how Rebecca towers over the rest of the Walker women? I noticed it with Kitty a couple weeks ago when they had the shoe moving incident, and now this week when Nora and Rebecca were discussing Justins meds. When Nora or Kitty are standing toe-to-toe with Rebecca their heads are tilted way back. It gets kind of distracting sometimes.
