Brothers & Sisters

Kevins nipples were hot when he got out of bed with Scotty. I never liked Scotty so i wont be missing him lol. But i do like the irony of it all.

Justin says it in his latest single, "What Goes Around Comes Around."

Somehow I don't think we've seen the last of Scotty. They didn't bring him back tonight for no reason.

Mattie, you took the words out of my mouth... I would hate to see this show turn into another "I'm sleeping with so and so" show.

And yes, Scotty's return was a dud. Is anyone else dreading this Kitty/McCallister thing? Because I sure am.

I'm really interested in Kevin and Chad's affair really. Maybe it's because I like two hot guys having feelings for each other. Scottie is the one who brings it to a whole new level. There's a reason that the writers have kept it clipped between Kevin and Scottie. I think it means that Scottie is the "one" or maybe not. It also shows the dynamics of gay men and how so many gay men have different levels of security about their sexuality.
Does anyone think that Chad really was going to tell his "girlfriend"? I thought it was extremely sweet that Chad gave Kevin a Valentine's gift. Do you think it was right that Kevin slept with Scottie? I think it was messed up. Did Kevin actually think that Chad was manipulating him? I guess Scottie was right, that the tables have turned and Kevin is playing the role of impatient. Hmm... :-) I love the storyline. Does anyone else get turned on how well and gentle the actors are handling the gay storyline? What I mean is that there is a lot of chemistry between the guys.

It's nice how they treat it more normal than outright stereotypical like Ugly Betty does. I love the two gay characters in that show, they're hilarious, but they fit all the stereotypes.

I know! I love Michael Urie, but his character loves being in dresses. It's almost like he only wears mens clothing because he knows it's not socially acceptable. Or maybe he just impulses to try on dresses, but he actually enjoys being a man. Regardless, he's brilliant with one-liners, and all of his lines. And Justin cracks me up. Like you said, the characters are stereotypical, but I like how the writers had Justin's father address how Justin was raised, because that is complete reality that few shows featuring gay characters fail to address. Usually shows have characters that were completely "normal" before, but suddenly they're gay.

has anyone read anywhere who is in the running to play the character of the senator's gay brother? supposedly, this will be Kevin's ltr. I've been looking at the tv gossip sites and no mention of who is being considered for the role? or at least I cannot find references...

I don't know who's playing the gay brother, but who is that in your avatar? *|* !oops!

I had read that they were considering Jonathan LaPaglia. He's actually the guy who was originally cast to play Kevin the gay brother. But this is just speculation. I can't imagine him as Rob Lowe's brother, unless they are half brothers.

Yes, Jonathan LaPaglia was originally casted as Kevin and Betty Buckley was Nora. They shot the pilot and then recasted those roles and then shot it again. I don't think the character of Kevin and Nora were originally named that.

alright just gotta put it out there....Jason Lewis=hot on Sex and the City...but in the like 2 years since that's been off the air he has not aged all that well...he doesn't look good up close on this show....far away shots totally hot...but once they do a close up i'm like whoa...

but anyways....love this show...it really gets better with every episode...and the thing i really like about it is how most shows on the air now that are hour dramas are all people talking really fast and using huge words for the hell of it and you can never really understand what they are talking about....like who in the hell actually talks like that....i like how this show is kinda like a real family....like the dynamic between all of them...i enjoy that aspect of it

Well he is pushing 36, if that means anything. ;) I think he looks hot regardless. He's like a little Ken doll. :D And I agree that the show has some of the best and most realistic dialogue on television right now. I love the political commentary. I also thought it was clever how Rob Lowe poked fun his real-life self by saying "Demi Moore, I used to have such a thing for her." lol BRAT BACK!!

I don't think the audience is that stupid that they can't see that Kevin is now in Scottie's position, so again, bringing Scottie in for one episode (as MattieMich said) for no other purpose than to prove that point is totally stupid and useless. I'd probably buy it more if they met by chance without being set-up in such an obvious way.

I heard about thsi show and had it on my Tivo for the longest time then on a cold weekend I decided to watch the show and let me tell you I was hooked immediately!

There aren't enough words to talk about how much I love this show. As I was watching this I realized that one of the shows was not on my Tivo so luckily it was on abc.com and you can see all of the older episodes on your pc.

I am glad they have a gay character on the show just wish he would have a relationship that isn't all drama - the scenes with Scotty were weird and the guy who is in the soaps is from Sex and the City and he is HOT!

I agree with the others that Sally Field is awesome.

Also the actor that plays the youngest son is the hottest man on the show!

hmm.. wonder if Chad is going to stick around longer than the few episodes we were initially told? maybe the writers changed thier minds and decided this was the ltr for Kevin..

excerpt from TV Guide online..

Question: Last Sunday's Valentine's Day episode of Brothers & Sisters was some damn awesome television, wasn't it? What's next for our favorite sibs?— Jim

Ausiello: Awesome indeed. Best line of the episode: "This family should have a bat signal for things that good." Genius. Coming up: When word spreads that Rebecca not only exists but is back in town, Nora does a very Nora thing and invites her to a sure-to-be-disastrous family dinner. (Speaking of Rebecca, don't miss Emily VanCamp's debut this Sunday!) Meanwhile, as his feelings for Kevin deepen, Chad considers throwing those closet doors wide open.

Wow from the premiere this show has done no wrong, weel except for maybe Scotty, i just just never got him.

The therapy scenes was some good stuff, it was so intense, you could actually see the marriage falling apart your eyes and just seemed helpless. It was so real.

Kevin, Kevin, Kevin, i really wanted you to not take Chad back, but at the same time i can understand how hard it is to deal with a closetted DL man.

Oh and the Kevin Chad/Kiss was HOT. Its so natural for the two actors, i believe it.

Love Rebecca already :).

Go away Joe.

I liked the scenes between Chad and Kevin tonight. It was so tender. And Chad does seem to care for Kevin I really believe he does. I loved that Chad held Kevin's hand in public it was a touching moment. And then when Kevin said something about being mad at Chad but he invited him in and they have that passionate kiss I loved it! Now that's what I was waiting to see on a major TV network. The storyline is really sweet between Kevin and Chad now. And the kiss was very important it was so sweet so tender yet also passionate. Now this kiss was much more intense then the others Chad and Kevin had there was feeling and emotion in it. It wasn't just a quick peck on the lips it was a real deep kiss. I think ABC is doing the right thing here.

Oh if i was on the writing team i would have had Chad say, "I don't know if you have been watching the soap, but i'm not that good of an actor, they just keep me around because i'm hot." LOL

Great Ep yet again.

I still like Kitty and the Senater. They have really good chemistry. I do admit though, I liked it better when they weren't officially together. The push and pull of a forbidden romance is always more fun (think The Nanny before Fran and Mr. Sheffield actually got together lol)

Tommy's inferiority complex annoys me. I much prefer the scenes when he is with Julia to the ones when he is at work.

Nora as Dora was really funny.

Kevin and Chad are still blah for me. Something just doesn't fit in that "romance." The kiss was a nice touch though. Quite long for network TV standards.

Smart Justin was great. Really good brother-sister banter between him and Kitty.

I missed probably the first 5-10 minutes of this episode. Where did the Joe/Sarah issues come from? I remember the Noah issue that was part of the show for like 5 seconds in the pilot, but I figured the writers canned that story. What brought up all these problems again? Sarah talked about having no passion in their sex lives but I suppose the whole sex tape they made a couple episodes back just slipped her mind.

The Joe/Sarah issue are that Joe has problems finishing himself off in sex, and Sarah said that Joe was thinking about the playdate's mother. But that is just one of the things wrong in their relationship.

I like it that Tommy finally has a decent storyline though. I like that the writers developed his character more. Tommy seems to always wanted his father's approval and love yet his older sister Sarah got it and he didn't. It clearly has damaged his self esteem and self concept he doesn't know what his true idenity was. Was it for Tommy to appease his father or live his own life? And now he's decided since he's in his early 30s he wants to try on his own be independent and be successful as a business man with Holly. Holly is a cougar though I think she is interested in Tommy he had better watch out.

I also like that Nora is taking writing classes. I want her storyline to develop more. Its an important one. For some widows they do lose their identity when their spouse dies. All Nora did was raise her children love her husband and devoted her life to them. Now she's trying to find herself. Sally Field is an amazing actress.

I do like the Kitty and senator storyline but I want some friction and some drama the lovey dovey stuff kind of dry.

And what's Justin going to do next?
