Generally, the strippers and lapdances will be for the bachelor guy, not the other guests. My brother had his bachelor party in Vegas, and my b/f and I begged off the stripper thing. We chipped in for it, but didn't go.

When I did this once before, I just focused on getting drunk and hanging out with the groom to be. The best man (the groom's brother) and his best friend had been to pretty much every strip club in the Carolinas besides the one we went to, so the rest of us just followed their lead. In fact, we only went because the best friend picked up free tickets off of some random girl in another bar who he guessed correctly was a stripper. The place (The Foxy Lady in Raleigh, NC) was blue collar to say the least and seriously might have been a double-wide in a strip mall.

Remember, it's just about showing your buddy a good time. Beyond that, just relax and look at the whole thing as an anthropological study in straight men.

But seriously, In a way it doesn't necessarily matter if you're out or not. If he really is a close friend and doesn't know you're gay, he probably thinks you're not into strippers anyway. I've been to a number of party's and not everyone is into the strippers or the porn. Sometimes even in the club guys just want to hang out, drink, and talk.

The stag for one of my best friends was partially held at a strip club. The interesting thing was, his best man is gay. He went to support his friend. He didn't have the greatest time, but then again he was somewhat an odd character. I kept trying to befriend him (no, not pick him up, well, not really...) but he wasn't acting very friendly. He didn't respond to my suggestion that we go to Remmington's (Toronto's male strip club).

Anyway, just go and have fun.
 
I've done this thing for a younger friend's stag night and at a Houston 'Gentlemen's Club'.
