Goodbye JUB

I've noticed they've removed a number of great series, such as Avatar-The Last Airbender (The legend of Aang) however that Shyamalan crud of a film is still there. It is possible Netflix is becoming shite.

Their horror section used to slay with modern titles like Silent Hill, now it's all independent B grade low budget camp films. The ONLY reason i still keep it is for the TV shows, Weeds, Parks & Rec, The Office, Family Guy, American Dad and the documentaries.

The Netflix in the UK is a right pack of crap.

No Disney movies and no decent movies.

There are a few gems in there, lemmie go through and see what I remember. May I recommend Nine Dead, tho? Used to be on there, dunno if it still is. A solid and suspenseful watch.

I'm trying not to panic but I'm hoping they're in the process of uploading titles-- though perhaps this is because I'm on my smart tv and not my laptop, there are literally 4, maybe 5 rows of horror films-- usually there are at least 20 rows. On the plus side Gremlins and a few other semi-familiar titles were added. Nine Dead isn't on there anymore. I'm really banking on them being in the midst of uploading because there's virtually nothing on here.

Google claims Netflix negotiates titles and batches of titles. Short story longer, there's not much of a prearranged schedule except batches are probably preferred. Their horror section also seems ridiculously small from my end too, so I doubt they're done. Dunno how quick they'll be about it at the moment, though, since they put several of their own tv shows up that they prolly want to be a little firmer entrenched in the consciousness.

I'm staunchly boycotting this Adam Sandler push they're on. His new movie looks so bad it almost makes me unable to watch his one good movie, Water Boy, just from association. He didn't work when he was overdoing the "Heehee I'm a grown man talking like a little kid" routine and now that he's trying to be, I dunno, something else, it isn't working either. If I want that kind of humor I'll go to the man who created it, Jim Carrey. Cuz he was actually good at it. And way hotter.

The rest of the titles should be up shortly, I've been a near-daily Netflix junkie for years and have never seen the selection be this thin, I think this might be the first time I caught them during a transition.

I usually stick with the tv shows myself, twice a year I'll go through and watch all the new-to-me horror movies. That includes the really, really shitty ones, tho I reserve the right to turn it off after twenty minutes if there isn't at least one redeeming feature.

I went into the horror section thinking I'd let the ratings do my choosing for me, didn't fare well because most of them are 2 stars or less.

It'll be the result of distributors and Netflix holding revolvers to each other's temples.

One side is over valuing the content (think about how much they claim piracy costs them), the is other devaluing the content (think about how low streaming music royalties are).

Whatever the case they need to bring Buffy back, she died twice (three if you count the alternate timeline in "The Wish") she can come back again! I don't know what to do with my life, Buffy reruns took up a good portion of my down time.
