She did in fact have sex with another (female) slayer - twice actually - but both the writer of those issues and Joss Whedon have stated that she is not gay and will not be gay in the future. She was just experimenting as many people have been known to do.

Now what is REALLY interesting, in one interview I read, Joss said it was Xander not Willow who was supposed to be gay in his original plan.

Xander isn't actually gay...Joss just knew early on in the series that he was going to make one of them gay, and Xander was who he was leaning towards. It ended up being Willow though, perhaps in part to how well Hannigan played her somewhat skanky vampire counterpart.

In the comic, Buffy is acknowledges an attraction for the other slayer after first denying one. She does not love Satsu, and the attraction seems to be based mostly on the fact that Satsu loves her and Buffy is lonely. She warns Satsu that loving her usually ends in heartbreak.

In the latest issue we see how the relationship reaches its apparent conclusion when Satsu asks to be promoted and transferred to Tokyo so she can get over Buffy.

Yes, as Killjoke states Xander -not gay - just brought up at one time Whedon mentioned that he considered having Xander being the gay scoobie.

Of course, ever since that second season speedo episode he's been my gay lover many, many times (in my mind) - lol

I'd say Buffy is straight - just a one time thing. (ok twice)
Dawn's a currently a giant because she had sex with a thricewise (I'm going from memory) but that's all they've really said about it.

The mecha was clearly just for hilarity's sake and it was just fantastic. Andrew's "this is what I was born for" was so funny and perfect. I mean come on giant Dawn in Japan, you've got to have her fight a giant Mecha version of herself! Sooo geek cool. Of course, it only really works in comic book form but that's the media she's in now.

I prefer the series better. I haven't actually read the comic, just the summaries on Wiki. I don't really like the way Joss is turning Buffy into something she's not, if it were the TV series, she would have definatley not have slept with her.

Apparently, (which i also read on Wiki) Dawn becomes a centur[sp?] in 'Time of Your Life.'

I just wish they've carry on with the TV series though, Joss has said that if all the actors and actresses agree to another series or movie, he will throw all he's written for the comic books out the window, and start again where Season 7 had left off.

Buffy, most probably one of the best things that came onto TV.

:D

Joss has Dollhouse coming soon with Eliza Dukshu - so hopefully we will have a new tv show to talk about soon.

Coming next month in Buffy comic - Fray and Buffy team up. I really enjoyed the Fray comic when it came out way back when so I'm really looking forward to it. If you don't remember that's where the scythe originally came from that showed up in season 7 of the show and played a big part in the last few issues of the comic.

Just though of this - funniest thing ever in a comic - If you remember the moment...

Renee "Should I sound the alarm?"
Xander "I wasn't aware we had an alarm for this but yes sound the alarm."

I loved Season Six, too. I can definately relate to the "life is the Big Bad" mentality of the sixth season. I haven't picked up the latest issue, but will do so soon. I think that again, Buffy was just experimenting with another woman, this more than likely won't be a permanent thing for her. I do remember reading that Joss Whedon wanted to make either Xander or Willow gay. Personally, I would have LOVED to have Xander turn out to be gay. That would have just been wonderful (as much as I love Anya!) May I say, "Buffy" is the best TV show ever, bar none.

Since "Once More with Feeling" and the whole Dark Willow saga were part of Season Six it cannot be denied as being great. However, there were some of my least favorite episodes in that season as well. I never did like the whole - Willow is a junkie for magic angle.

Five was my favourite, along with the classics of Season 1, 2 & 3. I can't believe Anya was killed off, i wish she survived that final battle. And yeah, OMWF was/is amazing, i watch it all the time, and yeah, i even own the soundtrack. *guilty*

It's just that the comics don't do it for me. I've read about them on wiki, and some seem interesting, but i'd rather watch SMG & the gang playing their roles again on TV or in a film, rather than see them in the comic books.

Remember watching the first episode of this show in 1997 when it first aired.

Hooked ever since.

Now I can't remember how long it's been since B and Angel ended, but I think I recall Joss saying he wanted to wait about 5 years before he started talking about movies or the possibility of bringing the show back to TV or TV movies. I think he was kinda jaded at the time because of how unprofessionally WB cancelled Angel and then begged him to come back afterwards.

But Buffy sleeping with a chick and exploring her sexuality is pretty cool. At least she is sleeping with another human for once.

I LOVED Willow's "skanky" vampire! She was excellent...I also liked Dark Willow. I am strange that way, I guess...

James Marsters said he'd be willing to come back as Spike IF they did it fairly soon. Since Vampires aren't supposed age he doesn't want to come back after he's too old to play it.

Sarah Michelle Gellar and David Boreanaz have both pretty much ruled out EVER coming back and reprising their roles. Although the BBC Ripper show about Giles is supposedly still doable.

^^ Actually, SMG has said in an interview that if the scripts good enough, and that Joss & the directors can really do something good with it, she'll consider reprising her role.

They've quoted her saying from the interview "Never say never."

I guess her career hasn't exactly taken off like she (and I) thought it would.

As much as I would love it, I just don't see it happening though. I know there were lots of rumors about tensions between her and the rest of the cast. If it does happen It would need to be soon, I REALLY don't want them to wait until she's in her 40's or something.

I agree. I thought she'd be really big, but she was only successful whilst filming in between Buffy seasons, such as Cruel Intentions and Scream 2, and heck, even Scooby Doo, ha ha.

I too would love to see the cast getting together to film a kick-ass Buffy movie, but i doubt it will happen. They've left it too late, and most of the buffy fans might have lost interest, although i haven't. :D

Since the Buffy comic is very popular, I think its proven there is still an interest. If Joss chose to continue with a new slayer and used the old cast as occasional guest stars that would be cool with me.
