Buffy the Vampire Slayer gay?

Joss had decided to make one of them gay but wasn't too sure which one to begin with. What I think tipped the scale in Willow's direction is that lesbianism seems somehow more socially acceptable and thus it'd be easier to go through the censors and pursue storylines regarding a lesbian relationship rather than one between two males.

I'm currently going through the comics, I've finished the first part (The Long Way Home + The Chain) and though it's good to have more stories of them, it just doesn't feel the same. I do hope we get more live-action BtVS sometime, it needn't even include Buffy, as long as Xander, Giles and Willow are there, I'm happy ^^

Unrelated matter: Does anyone except me find Angel to be one of the most irritation characters ever to be on a television screen. Granted, he has his moments, but I just can't stand that brooding woe is me creature of the night, lol. He's the only reason I've not seen AtS yet (I will, eventually, though).

Fray was a comic book mini series Joss wrote about a slayer in the future. There have been no slayers for hundreds of years. (The watchers are insane.)It is said that sometime in the 21st century the last slayer with the help of her friends fought a final battle against the demons and when it was over all demons and magic were banished from earth.

The scythe that Fray had was introduced in the TV show in Season 7 and continues to be important in the comics. The current story line is supposed to be leading to the "death of magic" so seems to be heading toward the future that was depicted in Fray.

So i'm a huge buffy fan but to be honest this is the first that i've every heard about a season 8 where can i find it PLease ?????

ps all the Even Numbered Seasons of Buffy Sucked In Comparison to the odd numberd ones and I'm MOre talking Big Evil as apposed to each individual episode. With the exception of Season 2

but Seriously

Odd Seasons
The Master
The Mayor
Glory
The First and Caleb

Even Seasons
Spike Angel And Dru
Adam And The Government
Willow And The Trio Of Morons

Season 4 & Season 6 big bads were lame.

Season 6 was never going to be epic with the nerdy trio, but Willow made the end of Season 6 quite good.

But i disagree with you on Season 2 [Angel, Dru & Spike], that ending was immense, i am currently watching that season at the moment. I loved the 'close you eyes' bit.

So sad, i can't believe he left for L.A.

:(

He can be annoying at times, yes, but his show was far better than Buffy in my opinion -- and I am a huge Buffy fan. The supporting cast was incredible and the writing/storylines and the way things were handled on that show were much cleaner and classier, in my opinion. It really hit its stride in Seasons 3-5...shame it was cancelled so soon.

Dark Horse Comics - The first 3 parts should now be in handy trade paper backs.
(Amazon search Buffy season 8 )

Part 1 Long Way Home - Reintroduces the Scoobies written by Joss Whedon
Part 2 No Future for You - Faith and Giles written by Brain K. Vaughan
Part 3 Wolves at the Gate - Dracula and more! written by Drew Goddard

Although Joss is not writing every issue, he is overseeing the entire thing and did plot the overall arc. It is currently planned for 30 issues (or there about). It is considered cannon.

Comes out monthly from Dark Horse at your local comics shop!

IDW is publishing Angel: After the Fall which picks up at the end of Season Five.

yeah angel season 4 and 5 are so different, but really a awesome show. angel 4 & 5 were better than buffys last season. i couldnt get into season 7, and i loved season 6.

Where I think Buffy was really great in seasons 2 and 3 (there's no way you can top the Angel/Buffy story arc of Season 2) it had individually great episodes in Season 4 (I show people Hush and the Halloween episode of that season to prove that Buffy rocks)

Five takes a big hit because of Dawn. 6 was hard to watch at times but again had some individually great episodes such as Once More with Feeling and the whole Dark Willow.

7 started out strong but then got kind of lost. I understand they had budget issues that didn't allow them to bring back the people they wanted to bring back and Faith was wasted because they lost a lot of Eliza's time because she had to start shooting Tru Calling.

Angel started off weak because I don't think they knew what they wanted to do except give Angel a show. It really picked up in Season 2 when Darla returned and after Connor was born it rarely looked back. Jasmine was the best arc of either show in my opinion. Buffy weakened as it went along but Angel just got better (and this from an unabashed Buffy fan).

Favourite quotes? Buffy/Angel?

Angel: you don't have a soul
Harmony: I would if you had confidence in me.

Buffy: huh? what? huh?

Anya: Bunnies frighten me

Buffy: huh? what? huh?

Anya: Bunnies frighten me

Angel: Are you mad at me for being around to much, or for not being around enough?

Buffy: DUH!!! Yes.

Angel: **confused** Which?

Buffy: What?

later
Angel: are you making this harder to make it easier on yourself?

Buffy :**exasperated** Can we just STOP with the brain teasers?

Connor 1st meets Illyria:

Connor: **nervously** "Hi, I'm Connor"

Illyria: gives him the once over..."Your body warms..."
turns to Angel and company somewhat annoyed,
"This one is lusting after me"

So Willow is dark again, but in the future? Anyone keeping up with the comic? Explain-y, like now! I'm so Frayed.

ok that so buffy speak.

I read this on Wiki today. It sounds strange, that Willow's something like 200 years old. Hmm. I don't read the comics by the way, just read what they're about on Wiki.

Also, i've nearly finished season 7 on DVD.

Buffy was "accidentally" sent to the future where Fray is the first slayer called in 200 years. The big reveal at the end of the last issue was that Willow (veiny Willow) is STILL alive and was responsible for bringing her there.

New issue September 03!
