Hey all,

Last monday I noticed I had a 'bump' of some sort on my penis. While I had noticed a smaller bump before, I did not think anything of it until last monday it suddenly seemed bigger after I masturbated. The bump seemed to have grown larger suddenly, or perhaps I hadn't noticed it before, though I doubt that. I suppose it could be an std, I had unsafe anal sex last December, though the guy had just been tested and was clean, and I had an std test at the end of March which turned up nothing. I've had a boyfriend since January and we started having unsafe sex after I got tested in March, he had not had sex before me and I have no reason at all to believe he is cheating on me.

Now I have already made a doctor's appointment for Friday, but I'm going paranoid as to what it could be.. Has anyone here experienced something similar or know what it could be?

Any help is much appreciated, thanks.

Just based upon the pictures, it looks like a sebaceous cyst. If you feel what feels like a small hard ball under the skin, that's probably what it is.

It may subside and flatten out on its own. If it does or if it looks like it is getting infected, you may need to see a dermatologist to have it excised.
 
I should add that it doesn't hurt or itch, though there's a slight 'sting' when I touch it.

Thanks for the replies guys, makes me a little less paranoid. Still having it checked by the doctor but at least I can sleep now :)
 
I would see your doctor and ask to be tested. STDs do not always manifest theselves in outward physical form.
 
Yeah looks like a zit to me too, you can get them in the most surprising places on your body.
Have you tried squeezing it?

Hmmmm.....JUST saw this thread.
I had one on my dick too....a long time ago.
It was sensitive as hell to the touch.
I finally lanced it myself with a sterile needle......some blood and pus came out and that was that.
I'm thinking it was an ingrown hair but not sure as I never shaved my dick........ :confused: .......AND it might have been a zit too.......
 
Luckily it was pretty harmless, the doctor immediately said it wasn't an std but an inflammation of some sort. Should go away on its own, but he gave me some ointment to speed up the process. Yay :)
