hi all,

I was wondering if any of you guys know of any good websites where I can buy Testosterone patches? I have been suffering from depression now for 12 years ( since I was 19 ) and have tried a mix of meds and counselling but nothing has helped me. I have never had a sex drive and I have no interest in masterbating either anymore, I still cannot grow facial hair, I am ALWAYS tired and quite frankly I dont even know if im a man or a woman most of the time!

I have asked my doc about testosterone as I seem to have all the signs of a low level, however after having my testosterone levels checked they are 'normal'. I dont care I want to try it as I genuinely believe it will help. I cannot find the REAL testosterone patches for sale in the UK and am hessitant to purchase them online unless I know they are the real deal.

Any help would be VERY apreciated!

It doesn't work like that.
Go to your doctor. He can determine IF and what testosterone treatment can help you.
Just applying testogel or testosterone patches to "grow facial hair" most likely will not do much.

What you're proposing won't work.

The problem is that your body produces testosterone based upon the level of testosterone in your blood.

If you add testosterone via injection, gel or patches, your body just makes less so that you return to the same level. Your testes will shrink and stop producing testosterone and you'll be back to the same level you started (just with raisins for 'nads).

If you try to exceed the normal level of testosterone by over-supplementing, then you get the testicle shrinking and a nice case of gynecomastia ("man-boobs", "bitch-tits"), your hair will fall out and you run the risk of other complications like liver damage.

What I would recommend to you is to see an endocrinologist for a second opinion. If he feels like your hormone levels are normal, then testosterone supplementation is not going to acheive any of the goals that you believe it will- and you run the risk of other undesirable side effects.

Not that I know a whole lot about this but have you had your thyroid levels checked?

I used to wear testosterone patches through prescription, but had problems with allergic reaction in contact areas. So the doctor switched me to testosterone by injections, because my insurance did not cover the androgels. I remember the pleasantly nice reaction in the beginning of the treatment, but after it went on, I did not see any benefits. I eventually stopped after about a year. Several years later, an urologist found a small malignant cancerous cell in my bladder, which has me wondering if it might be connected to the testosterone treatment I had back then.

Like KaraBulut said, introducing more testosterone to your body will lower the amount your body produces and in turn increases estrogen levels, and no guy wants that. You've probably heard this already but regular exercise stabilizes both testosterone and emotional levels. Give that a try. I've battled with depression for a while and using drugs and chemicals as crutches is not the way to go. Hope everything works out. :)
