  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

'C' is for ...

Good luck! Once it's over you will feel so much better and the first thing you eat will be great!

The preparation is really horrid. When I have it done the stuff they give me, Picolax I believe it is called, makes me sick as well so it isn't the best couple of days.

I must ask Kins.

Why is a 19 year old having a colonoscopy? Preventative or something else?

If it's neither, feel free to not respond. Just wondering.

I have Crohns Disease. I have regular checks so the doctors can keep an eye on it.

Yikes!

Best of luck to you, B.
Hope all goes well.

I imagine the prep is not such a fun procedure!

(*8*)

Oh the indignity of it all, ozguy, no matter how necessary! It's truly not much fun. I had such a time of it, and when I came to I told the guy administering it to just leave the money on the dresser.

IT'S OVER .... and I got a clean bill of health!! (!) (!) I was blissfully asleep while it was happening so wasn't aware of a thing, thank god! The 'twilight sedation' they give you is wonderful ..... came out of it really well and I felt great afterwards. Now I'm about to go out for a feed .... a BIG JUICY BURGER AND CHIPS!!! OMG I'm so hungry!

Thanks for thinking of me, everyone! (*8*)

Bravo Ozguy! My 1st one got me into surgery where I left parts of me due to large growths the doc found inside. After reading these posts, I'm stuck w/ "C is for cookie" running through the area where my brain should be!

Fantastic news, "B"!!! ..|

Another "Upside" is ... Food, any food, is going to be SO Good for the next week, or so!! (group) :hurray: (!w!) (UU)

Keep smilin'!! (*8*)
Chaz ;)

I'm so glad to hear this, Brad!!(!) (!) (!) (!)

Hope you're enjoying stuffing your face now! ;)

Cocktales, that's a colonoscopy that you describe except they don't put you under. I have that form of colonoscopy all the time because it's less stress on the body, I don't like the feeling of being put under.

Good luck with it, steve! ..|

Hey Oz! Glad to hear things are okay! ..|

I always found the 'prep' to be the worst part of the whole thing... oh, and passing all that 'air' they blow in to help inflate the colon so the scope can pass easier... that was always a little embarrassing. !oops! A nurse told me last time to "let it rip!" and that it was music to their ears... so I did. !oops! We all had a good time in recovery that day!

Stuff like that used to bother me, but after I learned to check my modesty at the door when I got to the hospital, it's no big deal anymore!
