Hiya,

I am a massive fan of bands like Emperor, Dimmu Borgir, Zyklon etc and would love to meet people that shared this taste in music!! I seem to be the only gay person I know has an incredible lust for this music.

Hopefully there are many of you out there lol! Say hi if you are into all this as it would be great to chat!!

Kev

Yeah, I'm more into the hard rock/metal stuff as opposed to death metal, as far as heavy goes. HUGE Pantera fan. For new stuff, Pantera's Vinny Paul (drummer) has a new band called Hellyeah (arguably THE stupidest name for a band EVER) that I actually quite like. Well, 5 of the first 6 songs I do, the rest are kinda, ehhh (band also includes Mudvayne's lead singer and guitarist, Nothingface's bassist and rhythym guitarist). Oh yeah, and new Down later this year (Pantera's Phil). eeeeeee, Can't wait! That, and new Megadeth next month :-)

Alright, so I'm obviously not the biggest "death metal" aficiando.

But here's a band you might like. "1600" hauls ass. Seriously:

And I'm looking forward to the new Ozzy album next month. FAR from "death metal", but here's his new single, released last week:

Excellent, I am glad to see the replies lol, I am well excited as I am going to see Zyklon in a few weeks and they are just one of the best bands ever in my opinion lol!

The new Ozzy stuff is great and I can't wait to get that album!! Thanks for the recommendations I will be checking them out. If any of you fancy a chat about the good old metal PM me and i'll give you my MSN!!

Kev

p.s. for those that like it really fucking heavy check out www.myspace.com/deadbeyondburied
they are one of the support bands i'll be seeing in a couple of weeks and they are great!

i'm a huge metal fan, but it's mostly 80's metal, glam, heavy, trash, stuff like that.

Still, if you like Dimmu Borgir, you must know of the appearance one of the members made in a Kamelot video/song.

that being said, i'd qualify the heaviest bands in my collection are Slayer, Suicidal Tendencies, D.R.I. Death angel, old metallica/megadeth and Annihilator.

That video is great, I had seen it before but its classy and well worth watching again lol!!

I couldn't find that album in stores, althought I only check one (a Virgin Megastore). So I had to buy it off the website of their record label, Mediaskare. However I was able to pick up the album, Rebirth of the Temple by Silent Civilian, at a store. Both bands are under the same label. Although Silent Civilian isn't really black or death metal, they are pretty heavy.

Kewl, thanks for the reccomendations I am liking them!! p.s funky photo's on your myspace (and cute doggies!) lol!

One thing I forgot to mentioned. The lead singer from Silent Civilian, Johnny Santos, used to be the frontman for the band Spineshank (if you heard of them). I would say that Silent Civilian is more thrash metal and Spineshank is more industrial metal.

I knew I recognised that voice from somewhere lol!!

Well, I'm currently listening to Holy Wars... The Punishment Due, so it's safe to say I'm pretty heavy. Textures are really heavy, too... It's usually quite Machine Head-ish, and then starts sounding like Tool with Cornell on vocals. It's excellent.

Death Metal..
Grindcore..
Goregrind..
Black Metal..

I like it all ;)
