hello, been a lurker in these forums for quite a while now and thought it was about time I post xD. Anyways I came out to my mom today. She was in town this weekend and I wanted to tell her in person but I got nervous every time I was about to tell her, so told her over the phone after she got home. Was kinda surprised she was ok with it, and just asked me why I didn't tell her when she was here, and said that she'd loved me unconditionally. I've told a couple of people I'm gay, but she was the 1st family member I've told. Think I'm feeling more comfortable with myself, and wondering if I should come out to my roommate too

im pleased it went well for u. i came out to my bro a year ago, turns out he already knew. hes accepting, well sort of has to be, because we live together as our parents have passed away, so its just the 2 of us, just makes things easier when loved ones know, does'nt it?

I just came out to my Mom about a week ago, and I was too chicken to do it in person too. But i did it and she has been great about it. I'm really glad I told her, I'm sure you feel the same way.

Now about the roommate, that's up to you. But if you want some ideas from us, we'll need some more info.

thank you all, about my roommate, well we've been living together for like 2 months now. We're not super close because we only get to see each other in the afternoon and he's gone on the weekends, but we get along fine. I'll probably just tell him if it comes up or something, like the other night we were watching A Knight's tale with some friends and he asked me if I would've given a kiss to Heath Ledger (we were @ that part where the girl sends him a kiss through that guy) and I just said idk, so maybe next time I'll be honest and say Hell yeah! lol

Hahaha that works. You don't sound all that close with him, so let it be a casual thing. Like it's no big deal, because it's really not.
