Can a person be truely happy if he is single?

I've been happy both ways...with and without a partner. Do I have a preference? Not really. I am blessed with incredible friends, a career I love, family, special people in my life, etc...I think both sides have their own unique advantages and disadvantages. Depends on what you want for yourself at any particular stage of your life.

Who am I kidding??? I guess in the end, everyone is looking for someone. All I am saying is... While this search is going on, can you truly be content? Society always make you feel inadequate when you are alone. People will always try to fix you up even though you never gave any indication of loneliness to your friends. They will always make comments like,"you are too nice to be alone." "Is there something wrong with you?" Hahhaha!!! Why would there be something wrong if you choose to be by yourself??? Sometimes you just need to let the singles mingle with other singles and just have fun. Anyhoo, I hope all is well in the single world. Lets all be happy and find the true meaning of life with or without somebody!! Cheers and thanks for all the advices guys!!!
 
I am in a relationship right now, and I think it is on its way out....

But, I honestly know without a doubt that I am one of those people who is so independant, that I am actually MUCH happier being single.

Dating is fun, but I am not so sure that I like it that well. things are so much simpler when you are single. And I like simplicity.
 
That is also somewhat of a problem... I have been single for so long that I did not have to answer to anyone. So when you finally meet someone new... It is weird when you have someone asking you where are you going and when will you be home? I have dated people but it has been awhile since I have been in a relationship that I felt sorta out of place. Does anyone feel the same way? It almost feels like my personal space is being occupied by someone else other than me and I feel strange... A good strange but none the less strange. I guess it is very hard to give up that freedom we all want from being single.
